Chuck Burrows of Wild Rose Trading Company has passed

I don't know what to say besides best wishes to the family.

Chuck's video and pouch sheath is what inspired me and taught me what I still follow as a general practice. Thanks Chuck.

Godspeed Mr. Burrows. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Thanks for posting the pictures Buddy. I'm a big fan of Chuck and Gibs artwork. If there's a knife makers heaven, you know they got a hell of a forge. RIP

I'm looking for contact info for the late Chuck Burrows' widow Linda or other family. The only phone number I can find for her is the one from the website and it is now disconnected. I want to get in contact with them to see about restoring the old WRTC website for reference and posterity, as a memorial to Chuck and his work. He spent a lot of time posting on various forums and had lots of pictures to go with them. I'd love to see the pictures restored to those posts so that folks can continue to enjoy the results of the craft he worked so hard to perfect.

You might get a lead from Sandy Morrissey. He and Chuck were pretty close before Chuck passed and he might have a contact for Linda. email me at the address below and I'll give you Sandy's phone number.

I never heard back from Sandy but I've been able to procure the original website domain and am in the process of rebuilding the website as a memorial to Chuck and his work.

I hate to hear this. I remember watching his how to video on sheath making years ago. I only talked with him a few times, but he was a great guy!

I loved his work, he will be missed. Thanks for posting those pictures, Buddy, I hope lots of folks take a good look at his skills. R.I.P.

Aarrrggh. When I first started heavily on knife forums (KnifeNetwork), Chuck was a dominant presence. He's never played a part in this forum, but I remember his work and words well.

Not only that, he was a savvy tech guy as well. He managed many of my earliest website changes from Wyoming on the side. I traded him one of my early digital cameras for work, as I upgraded.

His close knife-making friend Gib Guignard passed ten years ago, and Chuck reminded me of him often.

These guys were low key, but good. Sigh. This makes me uncomfortable.

Thanks, Matt.

I seem to remember that Gib and Chuck posted up their collabs here way back in the day.... I always admired both of their work. Well, now they are back together again and making their functional art for another audience. RIP Chuck, my condolences to family and friends.

The original site is back up. Now we have to get to work filling in the missing images.
