And the hits keep coming. 👍

You have been very kind to me over the years of our friendship Charlie, but that really meant a lot to me :) So strange that I never come across Barlow knives here :(
It's been mutual, Jack!!
- I guess they brought more money from Americans!!

I bought this very well made classy looking box for £5 the other day from a cigar shop,I guess they dont give them away anymore. 😁
The lid is a very tight tollerance fit, I suppose to keep the cigars fresh?
So I will be using emery paper to make it easier to open.
I like it a lot, very well made even has brass hinges.

In Marks and Sparks today this large tin of Scottish Shortbread biscuits with a lovely pattern was £6.
Thats a bargain, once I have eat all the delicious biscuits I have another tin for storage, thats a win win.

Inflation!
Stagflation! 🤣

For a fiver, you'd think they'd have left you a couple of cigars in! :D Nice box though

When my (former) local tobacconist started selling them, for £2, I opened a box to find that the lower tray was still full of tubed Churchill coronas. I let them know, but I still had to pay for the boxes  :D

No pictures, but several years ago, after our Mother died, the family was cleaning out her house getting it ready for auction. Mom wasn't a hoarder, and she always kept things organised, so that made things easier.

My son came down from the attic with an old cigar box, and showed it to my brother & I. It was filled with all the old Barlow & electrician knives that we "lost" when we were kids. Most had our initials crudely scratched into the handles. After looking them over, we figured "finders keepers", and gave the whole box to my boy. He's 47 and even though they were all cheap feed store knives to begin with, he'll take good care of them.
