Citadel knives?

Does anyone have any experience with Citadel knives? I found a model of theirs that I'm very interested in buying, it has buffalo horn handles which I'm aware is a somewhat higher end material, 1075 steel for the blade which is a decent quality carbon steel, and I really like the design. However, I have no experience with Citadel knives, and I've not heard talk about them on the forums. I'll probably end up buying one either way, but I'd like to hear any comments you guys have regarding Citadel knives first.

I have collected many 'brands', both foreign and domestic, for about 25 YRS, in only my opinion, Citadel makes the best knife for the money, b both for EDC, and collection. I have begun to sell off my 2000+ collection of other brands (mostly US) in order to concentrate just on Citadel. I collect, and I carry, and they are by far (IMHO) the best knife for the $$ in both respects. [My son and I both carry/collect Citadel, and have more than 50 between us!! [ I DO NOT THINK YOU CAN GO WRONG WITH ANY CITADEL KNIFE PRODUCT!....IMHO]

I was just looking at a Citadel Bowie that I thought was quite nice—no joke!!! Leather spacer and all.

Oh well lol

It is a bit funny that people have been bitchin´about cheap chinese knives and pakistani Laguioles for years and now all this praise for Citadel knives. Yes, they do make fine knives. Selective hardening, natural materials, giving jobs to Cambodian people, etc. What really bothers me is that the minimal salary in Cambodia is like $ 50.00 per month. Less than in China or Pakistan. The average price for a Citadel folding knife is around $ 90 to $250. Where is the money going? Look at photos of the factory. An open shed, some fans, hardly any masks, gloves, eye protection, workers in flip-flops? No, mr. Bruno and Dominique Eluere are exploiting cambodian knifemakers just to line their pockets and the rest is marketing.
