Okay, this is for all you Schrade Old Timer fans!
Last weekend at a yard sale, I spied this in a bucket of rusty old hand tools from way back when. An Old timer 8OT.
It was rusty, but from sitting on a shelf in some damp celler more than anything else. I gave it some hoppies gun oil in the joints to free things up, and its not actually a bad knife. Blades are full looking, not used or sharpend much, but just rust stained and spotted. I used a little oil and scotchbrite and there does not seem to be any pitting. Joints are pretty tight, action is good once the gun oil got in there. No scars or nicks in the sawcut delrin handles. I had to get it, if for no other reason to rescue it from oblivion. I thought of you guys here, so here it is.
I want to see your Old Timers, if you have them, and your post number will be your draw number. I'll have Karen pick a number out of my old fishing bucket hat. I'm gonna run this untill next thursday, and then make a pick.
Good luck guys.
