CKCA 2009 Benefit Bowie for Prostate Cancer

Here is another link to the video..Thanks again to Kevin for doing this with about 5 minutes notice. The knife is a true work of art and going for a great cause. I was checked a few years ago..If you haven't been and getting close to 40..Get it done..Its a simple check and can save your life.

Thank you to ALL who have purchased tickets.
Just took another look at this beauty today as I was packing it up to send to AG's show.

An exceptional piece. Stop by the CKCA booth @ the AG Russell Show next weekend and take a look.

Was wondering how the sales are going? Please buy tickets for a great cause!:D

Saw Kevin and the awesome bowie at the Russell Show this weekend in Rogers. I didn't get a number from him, but ticket sales were being pushed at A.G.'s show and Kevin held a seminar representing the CKCA last night after dinner. Anxious to hear from Kevin soon.

Great show, by the way.

AG and Goldie really put on a good show. The CKCA booth was located right next to the main entry doors and next to the AKTI booth. There was a lot of action around the AKTI booth. The positive progress made against the US Customs proposal to possibly ban even more folders seems to have really united the knife community. The AKTI, AG, Goldie and the knife companies really deserve a good pat on the back for rallying enormous support at incredible speed.

Joe, I really enjoyed speaking with you and appreciated your help on manning the CKCA booth along with Nora Ruth and Jerry Fisk's friend Lorraine.
We (the CKCA) had a productive Show. We sold some Prostate Benefit Bowie tickets and had a few new members join. We really needed to sell some Bowie tickets as sales had slowed considerably since the Blade Show. We need to put some tickets out there to ensure a nice donation to the Prostate Cancer Foundation.

Wolfgang Loerchner has agreed to be our third maker participant along with Edmund Davidson and Steve Johnson in creating our next year's CKCA Fighter to benefit Lung Cancer Research.

That sounds like you had a good time and hung out with some hot babes;) Next project sounds awesome! Proud to be a member!:D:thumbup:

Thanks for reminding me. Tickets bought for this is a really good cause.

I hope my luck didn't ran out when I won the March of Dimes Charity Bowie;)

This beautiful bowie has a 12" blade of W-2 with an active hamon. It's approximately 17" long and has an ancient walrus ivory handle. Paul Long created the beautiful tooled leather sheath.

The CKCA would like to thank the following members for their generous contribution to the project:
Russ Andrews, Larry Bailey, Jerry Fisk, Don Hanson, Paul Long, Bob Starkey, Mary and Chuck Ward, John White.
