CKCA-Mini Show The Knives 2014

I'm stunned by these knives! Every single darned one of them is making me crazy:p

Hanson's folder is just what I've been looking for in the realm of blue, cream, brown ivory that formed down to a palette and pattern I like. Wish I could go after it.

Ben Seward's Solstice Fighter is one I'd love to own. It's callin' to me.

I wish I was making it to Blade this year :(

That Royer bowie does it for me if only it was a 10/11 inch blade I'd be sold on it.

I got a glimpse of that knife of Ben's and I liked it then but that photo has really set off the wood and that it's great blade shape I like the angled guard too.

Great knives everyone! Looking forward to seeing many of you at the show. :-) Sorry to hear you won't be there Rob.

I am very honored to be a part of the CKCA mini knife show this year. It's going to be one fantastic night. Back to the shop I go... there's a 15" billet of damascus calling my name..... :D

Thanks for all your comments on this impressive line-up of knives. We still have a very nice Hunter to post up form Michael Ruth JR and our International Collaboration between Adam DesRosiers and Erik Markman.

The Process/Rules:

• All CKCA members (those present at our show and not) will be eligible to purchase knifemaker's knives.

• All details of sales/transactions will take place between the knifemaker and the buyer with the CKCA providing promotion and the venue for knife sales.

• Knifemakers, of course, retain 100% of proceeds from all sales.

• CKCA members who will not be present at our show will have until Tuesday June 3rd @ 12 noon EST to direct myself (Kevin Jones) in writing via e-mail at customknifecollectorsassociation@yahoo.com to deposit a ticket into a particular maker's "draw box". By directing me to place a ticket into a maker's "draw box" the buyer is committing themselves to purchase such knife/knives.

• Since our knifemakers very graciously offer attractive pricing to our members for this annual event, any/all additional services/expenses such as shipping, insurance, custom duties, taxes for non-attending members are in addition to the sales price of the knives.

• ONLY CKCA members are eligible to participate (purchase knives) at our mini-show.

• Any CKCA member found to be purchasing mini-show knives for non-members can have their privileges to participate in future CKCA shows revoked. This rule will be strictly enforced. Any non-CKCA member can easily participate in our show by simply joining the CKCA.

• CKCA members are allowed to deposit a single ticket (1) in each box for knives that they want to acquire for themselves. Please, no help from your friends in depositing tickets on your be haft thus giving advantage over other members.

• CKCA members can place tickets in multiple boxes and if such member wins multiple knives he/she can of course keep all knives or at that time choose not to take a knife and we will go back and re-draw a second winner for the knife they turned down. If by chance there is not a second ticket in the particular box then the knife will be a "no sale".

The above processes/rules are intended to promote fairness for all CKCA members.

Feel free to ask any questions!

"International Collaboration Bowie"
This fully integral Bowie has a "pineapple" random pattern Damascus blade made by Erik Markman. This blade is 11" long x 1-18" wide x 3/8" thick it is made from w-2 and 15n20.
The handle, made by Adam Desrosiers is ancient walrus ivory, contoured and fluted on the pommel. It has a fileworked 416 stainless spacer.

Now after seeing these incredible knives, I truly regret that I will not be able to make the Banquet and Mini Show this year.

Really looking forward to the show...and handling these knives. I really like the Quesenberry piece. It'll be great to hang out with old friends and make new ones. Dad and I should be in Atlanta Thursay morning. Thanks to Kevin and Preston for putting this together.

Filed 416 Stainless Liners
Indian Sambar Stag Handle w/ Argentium Silver Pins

I love a nice 'border cut & grooved' ferrule and Mike executed this one wonderfully. Since he's more know for his outstanding & lethal looking fighters I was surprised when he told me he wanted to do an upscale Hunter for our show and I'm extremely pleased with the results.

Kevin, my heart skipped a beat when I saw this hunter. Really nice Mr Ruth.

Mark, I knew this would be right up your alley!
