Never noticed this thread before, I’ll add my Mini-Copperlock’s. The bone handled one I bought because it had the “working finish” on the stainless steel blade - gives the knife a different look. The stag was one I gifted to my father (I think for either Christmas or for his 65th birthday 20 years ago) - he gifted it back to me early last fall (now I’m 65). OH

What we have here is a happy coincidence I just posted a peanut with "as ground" blades over in the Black Friday thread and commented on them
I've never seen a copperlock with one. I think I prefer them over the polished blades.

@mbkr It would have to been intentional on Case's part to have this finish, nothing else those blades could have been intended for that I can think of - I'll have to go look at your photo. I have liked this knife model over the years for gifting purposes, I think they make great gifts because of the blend of a modern lock-back into a traditional size knife that lays flat in the pocket, has a useful size blade but it light. I have given away two blue bone handled ones (same jigged blue bone as on SF Fanatics knife) that I can remember to customers, but didn't take pictures of them. Here is an amber bone variation I gave to an old boss when he got promoted five years ago, it was a 2008 version that I did take a photo of. OH

I like that as ground/matte finish in contrast to polished bolsters! I'd opt for one if possible.

Just gave away a Mini Copperlock so now I'm down to 2 Minis: Amber Bone and phat Stag and a full size Rattlesnake Bone.

Side note: I think this thread would be more active if it was all copperheads, not just Case Copperlocks.
