Classic Black and Steel Traditionals

Case is in the game too; some of my Black/Steel Case Knives. A Medium Jack (2010) and a Medium Stockman (1970) on the 87 frame, and a 5" deer skinner from 1980. OH

Nice thread! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

I've always thought that knives with a black-and-silver color scheme are very distinguished, dignified, and even elegant. That opinion may be influenced by the fact that my very first knife was this Colonial Forest-Master from about 1960.

Here are a couple of similar scout knives from Imperial, and a black Victorinox Pioneer. (My first knife probably influenced my affection for the scout/camp/utility knife pattern, too. 🤓 )

Coco gone black
I have a vintage Keen Kutter (thanks, Mark) that was originally cocobolo with a spey blade, despite what it looks like today:

Here's a Kingston cattle knife (again, thanks, Mark) that qualifies for this thread, I think. (Just pretend that all the reflections in the shiny surfaces are intentional "artistic license" on my part. 🤓 )

The Coco White Owl I showed clearly darkened in a very short space of time....suspect it MIGHT be an Ebony that slipped under the wire? I was the second owner, it then went to the third and I strongly believe Charlie C is the latest keeper. :cool: Anyway it was very dark.:)
