I second the slipjoint suggestions... nonthreatening, classy, and fun to collect! The new GEC 35 Churchill or upcoming 78 might be options! You can find 38 Specials still at dealers too... very nice knives!

Very nice.I carried a Spyderco PM2 to my daughter's wedding this past weekend, clipped to my suit pants. I picked the classiest one that I have- the version with M4 steel and carbon fiber scales.
