Clear coated BK9, the BK39!

The clear coat is slick as glass and really does make the knife glide right through wood. I like it. A lot.

Been using the BK 32 since January. I was pulling for the BK9 to get the treatment next. It should be an absolute beast.

I really liked the BK32 I fondled at the gathering. A BK9 with the same treatment will be phenomenal.

Tradewater willed it and it came to fruition.

It is. I was playing with this one today. Most of my knives are users. Not sure what I'd do with this one but I'm thinking about it. I ended up with 3 other BK. These knives are addicting. The vendors were exceptionally friendly and patient with all my requests to see different knives and answer questions. I can't say that about all the tables. I'm headed back tomorrow. We'll see if it follows me home.....

wow. i'm the last to hear about the new toys :P

i bet they suck :D

I don't like the handle color but that could be easily changed. If that is the logo on the blade and not a copyright notification, I prefer the regular laser engraving. Beckers are easy to strip, so I really don't see the point of this model.

repeat after me; nobody likes the sheath, the handles, the ...

wow. Ethan got zombie green handles. go KaBar CEO :D

Ethan is surely going to roll something :D

You ain't joking man...all over the vintage tables ppl seemed put out when you asked to look at something when everything's under glass then you dare to ask the price when nothings priced...gee whiz, I just walk away. Why bother dragging all your mess out if you don't want to sell it? Other than that, Ka-Bar booth is terrific, TM Hunts spot is really fun and loaded with beautiful art, Smokey Mountain guys are very friendly, Schrade booth looked like they were ready to take a nap lol, gotta hit Jantz again, too much to see, tomorrow I'll be calmed down a bit and not so geeked out. I'll take some pics and such.

there were a few BK39s at the booth -- they didn't last long...

There's still some left as of an hour ago. I think it looks great, the scales aren't bad either and if you don't care for them its easily overcome. As for the logo, its laser etched but who cares, it is big but far from a deal breaker for me. The actual deal breaker for me is that I already have 2 bk9's....

On another note I watched this video in it's entirety. Despite the hokey Japanese game show quality, what that guy does with his sword is jaw dropping.

As for the 39, I don't need another 9. And mine's already "clear coated"....

i got some tractoring done today. no knives.

I wonder, with the debut of the bk39, will the bk9 go on sale.

I like the bk39, great look and finish just can't get past the big ass logo across the blade. If the logo becomes more discrete, I'll get one for sure but otherwise I'll wait and see if the bk9 will go on sale.

i see a lot of people stripping these anyway.

i hope they come with black handles too.

but it looks like the surface texture is "more clean". possibly stone washed. that's a plus.
