Clemente Esposito Amendola

These blades are stunning. Reminds me of the “Roman Bandits” in Alexandre Dumas’ books. I can just imagine Luigi Vampa or Pepino pulling one of these things out of his waistband to despoil some wealthy French nobleman, just around the corner from some sleepy Papal gendarmes.

These days Clemente is highly inspired

Sadly such lovely knives in my hand would never do more than open bills :(

These are beautiful - elegant and sleek. Love the restrained photos on the paper with the little spray of flowers. Very artful

And as you can see it Clemente is steel at work :)

On this picture you can see Clemente with my very good friend Gigi Sechi watching the maestro Paolo Calaresu at work .
Both are very humble persons because they look at him like students but both are very high level knife-makers .

Hi,
I can't give you an actual price because I bought mine a while ago .
But you can easily contact Clemente on facebook.
What I can say is that the price is really good for a a full handmade knife .

But what range we are talking about $300, $500? Just curious. Maybe I'll try in future.

On the one hand, they look pretty, but for me it's always deal breaker they ask such money for, in most cases, inox blade and average fit and finish like that with random file marks on handle. Maybe it's on purpose, I don't know.

It all impresses me as beautiful and inspiring. Thank you  for these posts. I love the photos of the three Maestros! Even if the materials appears less than finished (in the eye of the beholder) the amount of handwork required to build these knives is more value than these makers ask us to pay, IMHO.
