Thanks for the info ZZ! I haven't seen anyone's well/pump around here that's sitting on concrete. I think All the ones around here just sit on the ground. But a well house is a great idea.

Like your cinnamon idea too! I'll try it. I have had great success with food grade DE... But same thing it only works until it gets wet.


The well stopped multiple times yesterday. This morning the well was off again... but not because of ants... The overload reset switch was tripped... I think I'm going to have to get an expert to come look at the pump... Always something!!

My wife says i have 2 settings and no middle ground... I'm either happy, which makes me a little careless when shit happens... Or I'm in jail... There's no middle ground hahaha!



.... Was suppose to pick up Battle tomorrow... They called me last night and said i wouldn't be able to take him home until next week sometime... I guess he got into poison ivy/oak and has a rash so they are treating him and can't release him until the vet clears him and says he is all better, then the vet will give them a certificate saying he is good and healthy and ready to go to a new home... But I'm going to go visit this weekend so i can meet him.... Kidnapping him is not totally out of the question!!
 
Well... Gotta make some cash... Gunna list up the 21 package i think... Don't wanna... But this is life!!

I also have used cinnamon under my bee hives for the ants, and it works great. I can tell you, however, that if you accidentally shake some cinnamon out and the wind blows a cloud of it towards the entrance to a hive, the bees react negatively. That resulted in one of my stings last season...
 
This past Monday was very windy outside. I was on my computer, after I got home from work. Heard some strange sound, then the power went out. I thought another branch from our gumball tree fell off and knocked the power wire off again. Went outside to find this:

This is the neighbors house, to the right of the photo. See the tree that broke off? It was in bad shape anyways, and the wind finally took it down. You can see how the pole is leaning.

This happened around 3pm, and they restored power at around midnight.

Looks like I'm ordering a control box today... Called a few places but they don't have the one i use in stock... And i can order it just as easy as they can.


Guess it's time to get dressed and go into town... First I'm thinking I'll go across the street and get some natural packing materials... Cow shit mixed with Spanish moss makes a soft yet durable packing material!! The red bugs can be security, throw in some glitter and we got a party!!
 
A couple of days ago I scored a Spydie UKPK in black g10 with s30. It arrived today. Well, didn't think I was gonna be this impressed, but I am. Very nice f&f, very light, strong backspring, love the blade. Yay, disco'd knives are fun :).

I carried a UKPK for a couple years and really liked it. Mine is the foliage green g-10. Excellent knife.
