Sweet! I have a Rough Rider with that very same characteristic. My nails are already accustomed to it.

I'm in! Thanks.

I'm in.

My father in law gave me his Case Boy Scout knife from the '40's that you almost need a block and tackle to open the main blade. When I commented on how hard it was to open he just looked at me with a smile and said "people were stronger back then".:D Gotta love him.

I m in. Nice knife!!!

I purchased recently a vintage Camillus equal end jack 1946-1950 in excellent condition. The main was very stiff so I lubricated the joint with mineral oil and kept opening and closing it. That did improve the pull but the extra stress caused the black acetate handle to loosen and bow out from the frame at the bolster.
Looking back the pull was just fine for an old knife and I should have left well enough alone.

I'm in !

Thanks for a chance at such a nice knife.

I had one of the first 30 Sebenza 25's, it was even hard to open with two hands. I don't know if I hated to love it or loved to hate it but it had to go.

Thanks for the GAW...from an ex-Michigander. I do NOT wish to enter, but you are super
to do this for the gang.
Happy 5,000!
Don aka Sonny

Congrats on the 5K!

I'm In! Thanks for the chance at this awesome GAW!

Hardest knife I opened in my life was my brother's SAK when I was 4. So hard to open / close at that time I almost took off half my thumb

I'm in. Thanks!

For me, it was the Acies 2 from AG Russell, that knife had a super strong detent and a meat-grinding thumbstud. It was dangerously difficult for me to open one-handed.

I'm in, thank you for the GAW.

A story that's a little different... the switch on my first Combat Troodon was incredibly stiff for a couple of weeks after I got it. The switch took maybe 30 lbs of force to open or retract.

I'll jump in, thanks for the opportunity on that little beauty.
She will have a good home here.
