Holy cow talking about raining on a guy's parade!!! You need some purple haze baby!! Would Jimi be such a downer???? don't think so
Remember what mom said about if you had nothing nice to say?.......

I wasn't being a downer, just making an observation. I have a few customs with imperfections that I'm willing to admit and live with. If someone pointed out the flaws in one of my knives I wouldn't discourage it, I'd embrace it.

If it were me I'd say "yeah, the jimping isn't perfect but I still like it". Nothing in life is perfect:thumbup:

How about starting with something nice.... look at it....you just totally jumped on it..without a good word........do you consider other peoples feelings? the knife maker?...the buyer? and then you repost magnified picture to make your point??
The thread was started because I love this knife...it wasn't a review until you made it one! I EMBRACE THIS KNIFE....there I said it.....Do you find anything nice you want to say!!!

You say you weren't being a downer...NEWS FLASH... yes you were!! (Maybe not intentionally, but you were)...I thought musicians were supposed to be chill

Why start a thread about your knife if you don't allow open-ended discussion?
Were you only looking for a pat on the head?

We aren't all here to sing you praise. The jimping is cattywampus and I was trying to discuss why it appeared that way.

See the difference? Why wouldn't I question that?

Beautiful. I have an F3 wharnie and it is one of my grails as well. It is the best and smoothest flipper I own.

To Blues bender... Dude it's not that kind of thread....its a shame you can't see it....If I was excited that my grail was a low budget knife, would you start criticizing it? Plenty of flaws you can find......but still you can't say anything nice or good to say about this knife...read the posts....you are the only one who doesn't get it........What do you do at a wedding...point out that the bride has an ugly nose?.....save that for the my wife is better than your wife thread!

"'Tis a thing of beauty, VP. Congrats. An element (to my eye anyway) of artistic genius...is the way he has the carved-out Tiger Stripes on the flats...transition, just a hair, over to the primary bevel. A very cool little aesthetic design touch. -- Watched the vid too. You can hear "the sounds of smoothness", which I believe is also song by Simon & Garfunkel.:D

thanks Scrim....In the WIP photos it was cool to see the whole blade tiger striped before he put the grind on it!

So you're not actually trying to discuss anything here, are you? All you're looking for is attention and approval from us?

Please inform me what type of thread this is, here in General Knife Discussion...

yes now you finally understand!...I am looking for approval and attention!....you obviously won't play so get off the thread, and allow others to boost my ego! Here is a deal...You stay off my threads and I'll stay off yours!

Blues did nothing wrong he pointed something out you put it here to view. It's awesome you got a Grail you wanted and probably paid a nice penny for it. And he isn't the only one who noticed it I would question the jimping if it was mine hey maybe you missed it. Not everything is sunshine and ice cream cones blues wasn't being rude in my eyes he brought up a valid point on a open forum.

Blues is correct, I believe. If you introduce a knife, be prepared for questions about the acceptability of certain parts. Blues didn't rip the knife apart, he simply commented on something others might want to consider when ordering from this maker. It is a very different knife and one which some will like; some not. OP, enjoy it, but don't (and I did not pick up that you did, except for post #34 ) expect everyone to drool over it. If this is all incorrect, I believe these types of posts should be labeled "admire or love my knife". Again, ENJOY a very special knife.

I don't believe calling Blues a Dick was appropriate he was questioning the jimping is all and I also see it is irregular. BTW I like Curtiss knives very much and have handled many and never saw this on any of them. Maybe it is just the angle of the picture. Either way enjoy it it is your grail others have different tastes, don't expect accolades from everyone, just the way it is.
