Yeah but a guy pointing out a flaw and not giving praise is no need to call him a
 
The blade is grooved in the flats with the tiger stripes. That affects the jimping also....the scales when looked at from back or front would also look out of whack because of the milled stripes affecting the edges. Plus there is a shadow from the right scale that makes the jimping look weird. I responded with this in my second thread but he persists.
 
Viper, I believe that Blues asked a reasonable question. Yes, it's a beautiful knife.
I saw the jimping and thought that perhaps it was artifact...caused by over-zealous photographic compression and kind of disregarded it.
IMO, Blues asked a completely reasonable question...one that I might have asked, had I looked more closely at the pics.
Not a big deal in either case...and easily dealt with.

Fair enough. Isn't that explanation better than having a fit and name calling? It certainly sounds much more reasonable. I've had jimping that was off before. Not a big deal. And if you love the knife what does it really matter? Use the hell out of it. That is what BB would do!
 
This shouldnt be posted in General if we aren't discussing anything. I think there is a picture gallery around here somewhere. Blue isnt a negative guy, and was soft with his observation. I would have just said that the jimping looks jacked up.

I understand why OP was annoyed with the question. It's like "hey look at my new car." "Why is the frame all cattywampus" looked at earlier posts and OP gave a way better example with the bride at the wedding. Sorry no sleep with a pregnant wife so I am not a 100 right now.

OP got his custom ordered grail and I am sure paid a descent amount. There's ways to handle situations It's called tact. I guess unless you are "that guy" with no filter.

Great knife, I really like Curtiss's work. I have a slipjoint by him that is one of my EDCs.

I googled cattywampus and got:

I don't want this to get into a cat fight......and form pro and anti factions,....I just wanted to share a nice knife with everybody. I will contact Blues to make amends and we can move on hopefully understanding each other better!

For sure. I just enjoyed the Vid you showed the sound of that F3 is music. The funny thing about your knife is I was waiting at the ready for this to go up when I saw it on Curtiss's page on IG.
