I don't care about the dude or his blade. What I hate to see is stupidity invading a forum where I used to enjoy posting. There's been a sea change over there in more ways than one, and lots of the folks I used to enjoy reading don't even post there much, if at all. So I don't mind calling idiocy when I see it. BFC is a collaborative forum, and there's a self-policing function that's always gone on. If folks see stupidity and say nothing but "Cool man," what message does that send? Well... that it's cool to do dumb stuff. That's not my style.

You aren't naive. Its just hard to step into a dynamic forum like these are. Things that happened in the past are brought up frequently and the new folks will be lost. No worries. We will bring up names from time to time that you may not know,just dont ask where the bodies are buried!!!!

Seriously, I think the satin finish is quite suitable for a user knife. Now the damned double cut finish looks nice but is vulnerable as hell, good just for a safe queen, imho...

Sorry guys, its just the internetz. A guy wants to destroy his shit, and post video of it. I just don't see the problem? He must be pretty well off, to throw away $300, or however much $$$ they were. His property, his dime, who cares?

All the negativity is what makes the forum look bad. You ever read the comments at the bottom of news stories on the web? Just a bunch of people bashing each other, calling each other names, making fun of other peoples grammer. Kind of looked to me like where that thread was headed,,,

Think of it this way, now there is one less CF BWM in the world. So your CF BWM's just got a little bit more rare. Your investment grew, score! :rolleyes:

Yep - It's just difficult not to stand on one side or the other! I would never shoot a knife nor do I think it is cool.

I really don't care what others do with their posessions, as long as it doesn't affect others. This video however could affect others - by creating copycat or one-uppers.

My concern is when another genius tries to one-up this one and the potential ramifications. You can't blame the knife, but a negative occurance could potentially reflect unfavorably and unfairly on others.

That is true as well. That seemed to be the name of the game on the ArfKom. Always gotta try to one up the last idiot. Hopefully it's now out of everyones system, and they can move on. :thumbup:
 
Sorry, but silence is the same as sanction. The guy has every right to blast away at his knives. By the same token, within forum limits, I have every right to ridicule such stupidity.
 
truk, I appreciate your post, but I wonder if you think we should just let idiocy run rampant without saying something. I don't see you complaining when the llamas come out. :p
 
I've already mastered the Judy chop, so I'm just going to go shoot all my knives.
