do i have a small edc? like how small you want. i got 3 blade at js for heat treat, all 9 inches oal....they are non Japanese style . more tactical hunter type stuff.....4.5 blades

Sub 3" blades are legal for EDC in Illinois. I like your Japanese inspired knives. Maybe one with a tall blade.

Save your money, I have seen way to many Cores die. Id highly recommend an Xlander. The metal body will really take a beating. Mine is hardly recognizable as a suunto anymore but It is still working.

the xlanders are pretty cool, but they don't have nearly as many features. I also want an all black watch, but without the negative display like the xlander. the negative displays are just to hard to read on the fly. ymmv

You know however,
it wasnt ILLEGAL for a chicagoan to own a handgun,
