Hey guys, can any of you guys recommend a brand for cordless drills, It has to be thought, we need to buy some of them for the company and I'm checking them out as we have to buy a good quantity, I have always recommend Makita but will like other opinions. Thanks in advance for any info.

Nice score for the necker and the plan A guys, they are beauty's

no,no.....9 seconds is as far as i got.......no

About 25 seconds in is where it kicks off. :barf:

Trukr: That looks like good news. I've been hoping they get the lowlife.

Jeremy: The plan A rocks! Nice work mang!

11a: Welcome home!

Cabra: At my old job I used a Ridgid pretty heavily. I liked it so much I bought a compact lithium 18v for home.
At the new job we have a couple of Milwaukees and a DeWalt. They seem nice too but I haven't hammered on em too much.
Same with Makita and Bosch. Look like nice, highly recommended gear but I haven't used them extensively myself.

Is it for drilling or screwing?
I ask because I would highly recommend
an Impact Driver instead.

I have this Makita 14volt set for about 5 years.
I use it hard every day except Sundays.
One battery just went bad in the spring, otherwise NO
problems at all.
The impact driver is great!
The drill is "OK" but for serious holes,
drilling through a lot of studs etc,I use an AC powered
Milwaukee drill (Hilti for concrete)

I have started looking at the 18v Makita Impact drivers
which will be my next purchase
(dont get that tiny makita set in the silver makeup box,
makita_s.jpg

its ok for your wife or TomtheBaker or something to hang pictures,
but not really enough power for serious work)

Ive used a few others...
Dewalt- ehhh - it worked
Rigid- worked but too heavy

Awesome Plan A, Jerm,,, it looks too nice to use !

After watching that Karambit wounds clip I can only think,,, WE NEED A HORTON KARAMBIT ! :D

The G19 was my sidearm at work,,, feels great in hand and easy to shoot,,,

Makita's the best IMO, but you cant go wrong with Dewalt or Milwaukee. Go 18v, better to be overpowered than underpowered.

Cabra. Imho dewalt is real good I have the big kit they sell
Millwakee is nice in the older stuff they gave us brand new saw zalls with the lithiom batt and they sucked bad we all wanted the old ones back I have at home a millwakee drill and sawzall and they work good and I have the ridgid as well but I like the dewalt better and if they brake there r service centers to get parts for a lot easer other brands I will just toss
By the way we have at this new company I just started at a couple of months ago they have a milwakee 28volt drill I didn't see it when it was new but right now it is a pos big time
I use my dewalt to drill 11/16 holes with a auger bit to drill all my power poles so it has some good torq
And fug is right an impact is great I love mine but use the dewalt impact adapters never use riobi the r cheeper but they break way to easly

By the way when I bought my dewalt set the dewalt rep was there and he gave me a free lithiom batt and charger for free

Just got back from AG Russel show. Mostly old-fashioned knives with hollow grinds, bolsters, etc. ONE knifemaker with convex grinds that I saw out of the hundred there.

He said the ABS show in Little Rock was the one to go to if you're into convex and more hard-use styles.

Saw quite a bit of 01, which made me happy, lotso damascus too.

NOTHING like Jeremy's work, ANYWHERE!!!!!

You ROCK, Jerm!!
