It does feel good to have something to do that gets me away from the BS that surrounds me every day trying to run this place. 30 years old and a GM of a packing and shipping company with a very small workforce is stressful. Plus I don't get paid what I am worth here. Breaks of a family business I suppose.

Oh, it is indeed. I'm from a large ... a very large ... multi-national Italian family. If I hadn't gone off and done the wacky things I did (military ... physics ... etc.), I'm sure I would also have been entrapped in one of the innumerable family businesses, myself.

Don't everyone freak out

I don't really have a close up reference of before but I can say it is blued now and I like it a lot. Glass of Pepsi for 1 hour.

Pretty much what happened to me but I didn't stay in the military long enough. Got out and had no job. Sucked right in.

That will do it, every time.

I got out, too. But by then, wasn't good for anything 'normal.'

I'm definitely the odd one. Still pretty popular, though. Amazing how impressed Italian-Americans are with degrees and medals.

My family is fascinated by medals and degrees. Mostly because none of my Italian-American side has either. All of my family either started a family or business young and never went to college or away from San Francisco for the matter. Then the siblings just grew up and took care of everyone. I know all about it. I am in the role of taking care of the elders now that I have taken over the business operations in the last year.

Good Heavens. You know ... it's possible we are both in the same family.

There are certainly a goodly amount of my folks up in the San Fran area.

Got some great news today. Thanks Jeremy and Kolbeson Leatherworks. Damn, just damn.

My Great Grandmother's side are Selli's and they all moved here from PA back in the mid 30's to San Francisco. Been here ever since. Great Great Grandfather was a coal miner and packed everyone up and headed West one day when my Grandma was 16.
