Mornin', guys. I brought my Mitsubishi back from the repair today. New timing belts, new brake pads, new brake discs, new filters, new oil, repaired door lock (didn't lock), repaired wiper (didn't wipe). I handed almost my whole monthly wage to the mechanic for it. I'm happy I found this guy and arranged the repair with him. Had it been brandname service center, two months' wage wouldn't do...
Now just fix the gearbox oil leak yet, and the car is as good as new, and can make another 100k flawlessly. I hope.

Also bought a hand coffee grinder and a new can of Dominican coffee. What a blessing. I was lucky to get a almost identical grinder like my graddad had, from the same company that keeps making them since 1923. It's a bit strange and very happy feeling.
 
For me its not how much they go for....
For me its how much the maker gets for his or hers work.

Nobody is forcing anyone to buy it.. and J did sell it for X dollars.. he didn't have to either, he could have sold it to me.. or someone else here.. but he choose to sell it and now someone else is doing the same.. it's called FREE MARKET.. sorry cabra, J got his cash.. Pretty sure he is content. Chime in if I'm wrong J.

And Cabra, if I'm not understanding what you are talking about, then ignore me. I'm not bashing you.. Hope this doesn't come across as that.
 
Free market or scalping? Same difference I suppose and to each their own. I don't even know what a brand new one goes for so... But nobody said it was being forced either. Just some guys on a forum expressing their opinion is all. I miss econ class.

I hate dealers and people who act like them---scalpers.The guy took lousy pix--not one shot of the grind--and his use of English is lousy too.
 
Ok, im making a list of the tools and equipment i need to make the slipjoints. I want the blade to be D2. Now im going to need to make a back spring. Can i make a spring out of D2?

If you fellers dont know, im not a machinist, hell, i do good to read a ruler. So it stands to reason i dont know nothing about spring making.

Any thoughts?
 
All I know is I have never been more antsy to chop something. I have a craving for my hawk that I have not yet had yet. It will never leave my gear just like no other knife has left my gear. Unless it was traded for other gear of course. I thank Ranger for that one.
 
Guys welcome to.the world of custom folders. Its a different animal. All together. As you guys notice. I still concentrate on making fixed blades. I only plan on doing limited amounts of folders.
