What happened to Norway?

I can make the springs out of 5160 or 1095............i was just trying to not have to buy two different steels. It seems that most everyone uses a quench steel for springs. They also only heat treat part of the back spring, which i guess would be hard to do with air steel.... Anyway im going to try to order today and get the ball rolling. Hopefully ill get it down by Blade 2012...........

Morning men. Smoke for those in Norway. Always some freak that thinks that shit will get him remembered.I went to Lt Col David Grossman's seminar on terrorism. As he says there are three types of people general public are sheep. Criminals are wolves. Law enforcement and pro active citizens are sheep dogs. No one wants the sheep dog around until the wolf is around. As he said if you can legally carry a firearm on you at all times and don't look in the mirror and bah, your a sheep.

Sick bastard up in Norway,,, I hope they still carry the death sentence up there,,, most of the 91 killed were children between 14 - 20y,,,

Overhere we're forced by law to be sheep,,, I hate it,,, :grumpy:

On a lighter note: I just bought a bicycle,,, it has been many, many years since I rode a bike,,, no fancy mountainbike or anything like that though (don't have the money for it),,, plain hybride bike, good enough to get around town and take short trips with a minimum of off-road,,, ;)

For those interested, don't know squat about bikes myself:
specs.:
Frame - alu trekking / front wheel suspension
Groep - Shifters / Rear Shimano LX / Front Shimano FDM 191
Wheels - Shimano HG40 / Shimano hub dynamo / Continental Townride-double sided rims
Extra - adjustable steering / suspended gel-sadle

(^I hope I translated those items right  )

Planning on taken the bike more often and doing something on my appaling physique :D

I dont see the engine, what makes it go?

Cool bike, Chibbi! Have a good ride!
Mike, I gotta admit, I'm a sheep. I didn't see a reason to pack heat when sitting in a office the whole day. But I should reconsider that, seriously.

We brought a new buddy for our budgie today. They seem to be happy so far:

Filip, if I were allowed by law to pack heat, I'd pack it EVERYWHERE mang,,, bad things happen to good people any place on this earth,,, not being paranoid, just realist,,,

You're allowed to carry in the Czech Republic ?,,, nice !

Get the most comfortable, small gun you can find (with a reasonable caliber of course) to carry and find yourself a good holster for it,,, otherwise you'll be tempted to leave it at home,,,

That's what happened to my 3" .357 Mag. Smith & Wesson, Chibbi. But I used to carry it in the past. I also do now sometimes, but not everyday.
We can carry concealed in the Czech, there are some law and technical tests and health checks to pass, the gun is registered and you have to renew the license every 5 years, but yes, if you suck all that s*** up, you can carry.
There's also no regulation on knives here at all. So far. Hopefully it'll last.

Happy trails, Jerm !

With what steel did you go in the end for your backsprings, Carto ?

I wouldn't mind going through some administrative crap to be able to conceal carry, Filip... overhere it's only rarely allowed for civilians to carry a firearm,,, I have a carry permit for work, but ONLY for when I'm working and ONLY for one particular type and model of gun (Glock19 in my case),,, jewelers and diamond merchants for instance could also get a cc permit,,, in general folks who need to transport valuable items and have money could get a cc permit, but I hear even those are finding it harder and harder,,, but in general, if you're not good buddies with the local governor, forget about it,,, :grumpy:

Rode the bike for an hour or so yesterday,,, now my butt hurts,,, is it the sadle or is it something I should get used to ? :p

Yes, Chibbi, I'm glad for the chance to carry. However, the efforts for tying the screws are getting stronger all the time. The Norwegian shooting is a big-caliber ammo for for gun banners here, again. Illogical but loud the more, as always, you know it, too.
In fact, I try to equip with things that are not regulated yet, so once they become such, no-one will know I already have some. Too late for guns.

Concerning your butt, you have to get used to sit on the bike. The paradox being a harder / tougher saddle is better than a soft one. At least that's my experience.
