Morning men.Off to Marquette to see the specialist. See if he has any good news. The state is making me see one of their Dr's on the 8th in Southfield 6 hrs away.

Concerning my new job, it's cost me 5 phone calls, 40 min drive and one working hour fee just to get a paper from my current doc saying I'm healthy, which I have to take to the company's doctor where I'm going to work, who also has to state I'm healthy and capable of sitting on my ass in the office. And he cannot say I'm healthy unless he sees the paper from another doctor saying I'm healthy. I thought the U.S. healthcare was somewhat better...

I was in contact with him last week and he's doing great, Fug. Working outside this summer for some extra cash.

Yea he got back to me yesterday. I don't mind waiting for product. I just want to make sure my transmits are received. Then we go from there.
 
Good news. Health insurance came through today. Effective 8/1 though. Still good news. Now I can make an appointment for a physical and get my back checked out.

I also did some tinkering today. Followed some instructions on a portable phone charger. Check it

Two AA batteries will do about half a charge on an iphone4. Good backup battery source if you ever get in a pinch.
 
Always great to know your health is "taken care of" if something hapens.

I am working on making an outdoor version. Just ordered the supplies.
 
RE Phone charger: You will get more of a charge if you spend a bit more for the lithium AAs, Energizer makes them. PS: they weigh less and have a longer shelf life.

Certainly you will get more juice from the squeeze with the lithium batts. I have liths in my bug out bag where this would live. I am going to be adding a 2.1mm jack and using rechargeables so I have the choice to charge it ahead of time, on the move or just drop in batteries whenever. Usually I use a Solio charger I have sitting charged for day trips where I don't have an outlet. Provides me a power source and I can use the solar if need be.
