It turned out quite different than I planned, but it was a nice holiday anyway: The hills area I and my GF wanted to hike through had heavy rains all over them and resulting floods in the valleys. We agreed that we're too lazy and indulgent to fight the weather and stayed in our native town by GF's parents and went picking mushrooms in the surrounding woods. So we actually spent all the time in the nature, just returned for the night, and to process the mushrooms.
I also did a one-day hike in the hills nearby, visited places I used to go to as a child, that was quite strange experience for me, it seems I've changed somewhat, unlike those places.
We've also looked around the town a little...
And this weekend, we drove to the northeast of the country to go down a river with some friends. This turned out really nice.
I did a big mistake though - didn't take any pictures. Hope you'll forgive me, gentlemen.
Indeed.

Fuzz them sticks ... baton those logs. And have a great time.
Thanks, Sir! Indeed, I had to baton and chop some thick pine branches because everything was wet, it rained there a lot, too.
What knives are you bringing? Have fun man.
Mistake No. 2: I took the Landi Bull Maverick and Benchmade-HK 14460 Blitz Assist folder only with me (left the Busses at home since I thought they're too heavy for carrying on a long hike).
The Bull Maverick performed very well, I even chopped with the 5 inch blade, the only problem I had is the handle ergos - I'll have to have it re-handled. I regret to say it, but the original handle sucks, it's shaped for looks but not for serious work. Other than that, the cutting ability, edge retention and overall blade performance are top-notch.
The folder's edge dinged heavily when I cut a small hardwood stick with it - I must have bought a knock-off, I have no other explanation for that. I used this knife for something harder than paper, rope or plastic bags twice, and twice it failed. For cleaning mushrooms, it worked well, but I'd expect more from an assisted-opened "tactical" folder...
