CO2 guns

Crosman makes a 10 shot CO2 revolver in .177, the model 3576w or 357w that works well. It's about $50. You don't get a lot more FPS using the .22 caliber 2240 single shot, but it is .22 (more power, but more expensive to shoot) and can be quickly tuned to ~500fps. For comparison that's about 4 foot pounds in the .177 revolver and 6.5 or so in the 2240 .22 single shot.

If you picked up a 357w, try a few different pellets for power, I find that in most pellet/bb combo guns the best power is with .177 gamo round LEAD ball (not BBs) which aren't bad, $4 for 250 most places online. If there's an option, go for the longer barrel, you get a bit more velocity.

The older 38t and such .22 revolvers are long gone, but can be found used here and there. I'd like to pick one up and see if it can be tuned a bit. you should get 400-450 fps stock with those in good condition,

What I mean is that once it becomes a firearm though modification (+500fps) you have 30 days to register it, or convert it back. So as long as you convert the gun back and forth, you're fine. its a loophole designed for guns like the thompson/center encore and others that would be a real headache to process. Canada's registration system does not get along with reality very well.
