Coat Pocket Folders

Right now there is a Victorinox Cadet in each of the coats I where most.

This old Gerber Gator is a nice mitten-opening coat-pocket knif

In my bowhunting and archery competion days I used to carry that in my archery kit. It finally gave up when I was using the tip dig out an arrow that had missed the target and hit a treen. Snapped the tip and did not feel like grinding a new tip on it. These days I would have done that.

The Gerber Gator, while not having a pocket clip or thumb stud, is still plainly not a traditional design. (Any knife voted "most innovative knife of the year" at the 1991 Blade show is obviously not traditional.) In the future, please leave it out of Traditional.

I appreciate the support, but please, everyone just talk about the knives and not other posters.
Also please leave discussion of "firetrucks" to W&C, where such discussion is appropriate.

I can't relate living in South Texas!

It gets down right COLD in South Texas! If you want a never ending supply of "warms" you need some place like the southern most parts of Florida, or the Conch Republic. :)

I 'm thinking the Rough Rider Large Coke Bottle might make a good coat pocket (or snowmobile suit) pocket folder, only 5 inches closed with a 4 inch blade. Or maybe a Cold Steel KUDU or ELAND.

I'm going to slip this big Okapi knife in my coat pocket, it opens easily, and makes me think of sunnier climes!
