Coating Issue!! **UPDATE**

Yeah, I'm guessing I know who it was you spoke with. Some real stand up, and enthusiastic people over there. They will absolutely take excellent care of us fans when they can!

Btw, I had a thread in the tinkering subforum asking how to remove the cerakote finished cpm m4 blades. Guess I know now! :p

MY GRIPTILIAN IS GETTING FIXED!!!!!!
I'm getting a brand new blade, with my LE number etched back into it. And I quote (or somewhat quote, I forgot the exact words) "everything back the way it was"
I guess phone calls go farther than the email.

And of course thank you Paul/pbcg and everyone else who helped me out

Very glad to here this, and a big thanks to Paul for helping out:thumbup:

What an excellent outcome! Another reason why Blade Forums is such a great place. People helping each other to enjoy their addiction. ;)

Also, good to see benchmade stepping up to the plate and doing as they should since the knife is coated then gets a clear cerakote . . . don't really see how it would flake off like that if it was coated correctly

That's what the tech I spoke to said. He said that it must have not been treated properly pre-coating.

This thread and story makes me happy I choose to use Benchmade.
I'm happy you've gotten your problem fixed. Thumbs up to Benchmade customer service. This really is a great example of their top notch service.
