here is the email i recieved to notify me that i received an infraction..... i am begging all of you to look at my post.... and tell me that i did something to deserve an infraction

I didn't know that we weren't allowed to call dibs if a prior deal falls through. It happens quite a bit, actually.

edit: Just went and read the exchange rules and I am not sure which specific rule you could have broken. like randucci said below, I don't think that anyone would give a free bump to a knife they wanted to purchase themself.
 
I don't see anything wrong, you just wanted it documented that you wou take the knife if the other person didn't, especially since a deal had already fell thru. I really doubt you were trying to bump that thread! :confused:

That is completely out of control. Maybe he thought he was givivng an infraction to someone else. You did NOTHING wrong at all. I have noticed as of late that some of the mods have the "big head" or "little dog" syndrome. This really bothers me. Being a mod is no special treat. It doesnt make you cool caouse your a mod. law enforcement has this very problem also, causing the good cops to be grouped into the general "all cops are bad" theory. Very sad as we have good and bad cops and mods.
 
i am pist ..... code 3 has repeatedly done this crap with me..... told me that i would have to get a dealers sub if i was going to trade my artwork for knives ect ect
 
looks fine to me pal, nothing wrong there what so ever... I'm no mod, but if a mod would like to point out the infraction that would be interesting...

At least, the only thing I see in your post was that you too expressed an interest in the item being sold in case there was a second chance at it. Am I missing something here:confused:?
 
Sure doesn't look to me like anything you did was wrong, I recently had 3 people say they wanted a knife I was selling if others backed out, none of them were given infractions for it.
 
I was just told that not only was it okay, but I should second in line since some deals do fall through. Since I have had 'second in line' in one of my threads, and that person was not given an infraction, I'd say you're on somebody's $#!t list.
 
WOW - VTW. It was my WTS post and as a seller I appreciate your back up offer. There have been many cases in the past where this has happened without issues or problems. In fact in many - many instances the deal fell through and the second (or 3rd-4th...) in line have been able to pick it up....

Perhpas Spark &co need to have another pow-wow and make sure they are all in the same boat. Rules are set up by the forum - but arbitrarily applied rules are no good ..............................

Perhpas mods should get infraction tags placed on them when THEY mess up :)

That's enough to put me in "A$$hole" mode, but I am hoping this isn't some pubescent vendetta. Hopefully he just isn't understanding how we get in line for a blade we want. I would hope that he would come along soon and set things right as well.

I have a feeling this was just a mistake. They happen.
