Coffee

What do you think of counter culture? I've never ordered it but want to try some of their varieties.

I like it.
The couple of blends I've tried are well balanced and have a consistent roast.
Sometimes a little light for my espresso tastes though, next time I'll go with one of their darker roasts.
All have great flavor profiles though.
Pricey but I get it on sale at a local boutique food market here so it's a couple bucks cheaper than online.

I have to check it out. They keep on getting lauded in reviews. I went this week to go and try to get a bag of that sight glass coffee from San Fran and they sold out again. The next time around I'm going the day after they restock!

Happy Father's Day!!

Keep it alive......

My new Shadow Tech ALPHA. 10" of 1/4" 1095 goodness! Along with the new strop I made yesterday.

This Lavazza is very similar to the Gregory's Night Vision. I was pretty surprised!!

Thanks Wayne. It was the size and shape I was looking for. It is BK 2 wish, but with a much improved grip.

Picked up a couple of Deathwish varieties today. Happy to see my local market carrying them, saves me a trip to the downtown coffee shop.
I've reviewed the Deathwish blend previously: http://www.deathwishcoffee.com/collections/death-wish-coffee/products/1-pound-bag
But I've been itching to try some of the Barrel Aged.
Unfortunately I wanted to try the rum or whiskey barrel aged first and the only one available was the wine cask aged but it is tasty!
Medium-dark roast with some subtle flavors I'm assuming is from the wine. I'm trying to figure out the flavor profile but I'm not the best at picking out the separate flavors.
I prepared it with my espresso machine with a fine burr grind. Might have to adjust to a bit more coarse for the next batch.
I'm happy with it? But for the price I could be happier.
I bet the rum aged is tastier... ;)

I'm like getting confused which coffee thread is which so I'm going to double to it. Lol. Blue Tegu and a coffee oh and the mannix.

Aarrgh 1480 posts is to much to read but in series I order green beans from coffeesnobs.com.au which is also a great forum and have heard that sweet Marias is a state side supplier.
I roast with a cast iron pan and heat gun others use a behemor or diy a coretto from a bread maker and heat gun. Green coffee beans in search engine grey local suppliers. CS delivers for $14-$17kg most beans.
Or find enough fresh roasted to use in 3-4weeks
Ps New here read a little though

I haven't been using quality beans for a while so I picked up a bag of Counter Culture dark roast Sumatra yesterday and brewed up a couple espressos. Awesome.
I'll have to get an order in online for some fresh roasted stuff soon.

I have had many strange brews from all over the U.S. Never had Black Rifle.
One of my favorites is Small World Black and Tan. Although it's hard to beat Pete's Major Dickson's.

Haven't read the whole thread but has anyone tried Black Rifle Coffee Co.?

It fits right in with the forum theme.
But probably nothing special. Could be wrong though. Give us a review.
