Midnight Driver, a pinot noir barrel-aged cold brew coffee cocktail.


Pinot cold brew concentrate – 3oz (Mix of cold brew and wine concentrate.)
House made blood orange creme de cacao – 1/4oz
Amarena or Maraschino 1/8oz
Olive oil – 1 drop
Oil of 1 orange peel – stir with orange
Oil of lemon on top – cut for garnish (sail)
Jacobsen’s sea salt – light pinch

Place all ingredients save the lemon oil and salt in a glass of ice. Stir. Strain into glass. Garnish with lemon oil and salt.

“The ingredients accentuate all the flavors found in the coffee,” says Milletto, “nuttiness and chocolate of the coffee and dark berry notes.” The sea salt “pulls out nuances” while the olive oil enhances the drink’s viscosity which “hold the flavors on your palate”.

Late afternoon Macchiccino (milk volume somewhere between a Macchiato and a Cappuccino ;)). Sweet Maria's "New Classic" espresso blend at Full City+. My latte art was garbage on this one (poured too fast).



My favorite, well-loved Benchmade Axis folder, the 275 Adamas. :cool: First production 918/1000. Beast mode on!!! :D :p I love the heft this one has, and how hand-filling the grip is. Homerun design IMO! :cool:
 
I want to ordered one of the Mule 21's - This is my favorite knife so far .... Mule Team 08 Super Blue... and part of my recent order from Death Wish Coffee....

Ah, gotcha. I have a MT16 in CTS-XHP that I'm working on putting some nice redwood burl scales onto. I decided they weren't thick enough, so I'm going to add some (likely red) liners before epoxying everything together and finishing it up. Can't wait to finish it! :cool: Haven't decided what to do with my MT21 yet.
 
I have been trying to figure out how to celebrate my "back to work" event since my foot healed. The MT21 is on my radar, but I also WANT a RMD!! Then there's the BK 10!

I hate making tough choices!!

I recently received it and I am waiting to order some other scales for it. Since it has some corrosion resistance I might use it for some kitchen duty.

I made some of the Valhalla Odin Force this morning. Not what I expected at all. It is good, but not GREAT. I think I like the Death Wish better. My top 5 remain the same..... :D

I've read some good reviews and wanted to give it a try but it's never in stock at their storefront. I've asked and they told me to get it online?? Seems like a waste of shipping material to me.
 
I used to buy a lot of gourmet coffees but my wife and I found that we love Community Coffee New Orleans Style with Chicory.

If you like that, also try Cafe du Monde if you can find it or your grocer stocks it. It's been years since I bought it, but when I did it was priced well. If you aren't familiar, it's a coffee and beignets cafe in New Orleans. Do visit one if ever in NOLO.
