Coke vs. RC Cola

Just buy 1 can of each...drink and decide. It's not that complicated. If you like both then just buy 1 case each and enjoy both.

Although if you do buy always go with the bottle. I've always liked coke in glass bottles. Something nostalgic about it. Hate those cans and plastic bottles.
 
As far as the whole Coke vs. RC question: If you throw in a Moon Pie the RC would win. Otherwise, go with the Coke. I actually have come to prefer Diet Rite (which is made by the RC folks) as my favorite soda. It has no calories, no sodium, no sugar, no caffeine... and let's see.... what else......oh yeah, no taste. :rolleyes: :D ;)

What about the boiled peanuts? I'm not a Southerner (but I did spend alot of time in Charleston and Norfolk, and that's a different story.) I remember a friend telling me that he put boiled peanuts in his bottle of RC. Is this common?

It was a very popular thing in certain parts of the South at one time and still is to a lesser degree. Several generations of my family worked in the cotton mills of South Carolina where "Putting peanuts in your dope" (Dope being a colloquialism for a soda or soft drink) during their afternoon break was a revered custom. ;)
 
I'm a Coke guy. Don't like Pepsi. It's not a Ford Vs Chevy thing, I just don't much care for it. RC is OK, but I'd still rather prefer Coke.

Then again, I'm one of those picky types. Almost like a wine connoisseur.

Pizza: Coke
Hotwings: Mt. Dew
Sandwiches: Mt. Dew or Cherry Coke (prefered, but hard to come across sometimes).
Chinese: Coke or Mt. Dew
Burgers: Coke
Ice cream: Root Beer (duh)
Mexican: Mt. Dew, sometimes Coke

Some things just don't go together though. Coke with hotwings makes things hotter. Coke doesn't taste right with my subs. I like Sprite and orange sodas, but only as just a drink, not with a meal.

As for the boiled peanuts:

I am a Southerner and I have never liked boiled peanuts.
They are nasty!
My advice is to stick with Planter's dry roasted peanuts (or better yet, Planter's honey roasted peanuts).

Alright. At first I thought this was a joke kinda question, hence the smarta** answer in my first post. But, since it seems that it was a serious question, I gotta go with the Coke. Honestly, I love that "bitey" sensation you get down the back of your throat with Coke that RC and Pepsi just don't have. Kinda cleans yer pipes some.

I don't know why ppl argue about soda... pepsi vs coke vs rc vs store brand... it's all phosphoric acid, sugar, caramel, carbonation, and flavour compounds.

I used to drink a 2litre a day, now I'm doing good to drink it in a week, and I haven't bought a coke in a LONG time.
 
Since Burpsi Boom is a fictional drink only available in Dogpatch, go with the RC, but only if you really like to belch! Yee-haw!

when you include 1/4 of rhum on it plus a slice of lemon, you don't taste any difference ! :p
 
to me pepsi tastes like diet coke its nasty. Coke on the other hand is the sweet nectar the gods gave us to make us happy when were sad. Its like the honeyd lips of aphrodite. It sooths the soul and calms my fears it is and forever will be my one and only soda pop.

well then theres mountain dew....and dr pepper, and etc etc etc.

rc cola is ok i havent had any in a while though.

but still

I have a confession to make. I am a Coke addict. Been for years. I've been trying to get clean. It is so hard to quit the habit when you have been doing Coke for years and years and years. ;)
 
just don't drink it today !
and try tomorow not to drink it !

just keep one day after the other, and you'll be safe ! :D
