cold shoulder from Benchmade

Ive never gotten a reply to an email or voice mail...great knives, completely awful customer service imo.

as far as em is concerned, not so good, fine if ya call on the phone though FWIW, if ya do talk to a live person anyway lol.

BM's customer service is great....... IF you call them and talk with a real person.

Forget email and voice mail
, it is hit or miss at best.

Just call them and talk with them and you will have a more harmonious outcome. ;)

Maybe, that is not how it should be..... they probably should answer emails & voice mails in a timely manner. However, this seems not to be the case in many instances.

Oh well........ pick up the phone and call them. Talk to a live person. This will work.

At least this has been my experience. I have stellar outcomes this way, if I ever need anything. :)

I have never had a problem, I've gotten many knives repaired, and plenty of pocket clips sent out (dont ask....) And everytime I've just used emails. Maybe I've been lucky, but I've had nothing but excellent customer service from them.

I emailed them about some screws for a pocket clip back in August or so and never heard boo squat back. On the other hand, I emails Spyderco last week and heard back from Charlynn the following day. I like BM knives, I think their customer service is lacking.

Update

25 days now since receiving confirmation from Benchmade, stating they were sending out the thumb studs that week.

I realize phoning is the best way to go, but the email was finally answered and so getting a reply is no longer the issue.

I actually already got some replacement studs from the guy who took them in the first place, so the problem is solved for all intents and purposes. Now this just becomes a little test of Benchmade's customer service practises.

Good to hear that things are looking up for you. I've decided that if I get no response from a company after 2 emails then they are on my black list. So far Case is on that list (after spending hundreds on one order and having issues with all of them). If BM had not been on my list before it would now.

Exactly. If you want people to email you with warranty questions then you need to have someone dedicated on that end to answer them.
If they would rather have you call then take down the email.

I chose the email method because it is easier for me.
Some companies do it right, others don't.

+1 on calling them.

The shields fell off my Benchmade H20. They sent me some within a week. While I was talking to them, I asked if they would sell me an additional sheath so that I could swap the blade easily between my two PFDs. They just sent me another sheath.
