Howdy folks
I'm looking for a Kabar USMC an M3 or something along those lines. WWII type knives, current reproductions are fine but nothing Chinese made please.
I'm also interested in spear point traditional folders with bone handles and carbon steel. Or maybe a spyderco Para 2 or Gayle Bradley. Cold Steel, Kershaw and benchmade are always an option too, I'd love to have another skirmish. + or - Cash or other items either way is always an option too. I have no problem with particularly ugly users. If you have something else to offer let me know I may be interested. I generally prefer "mid level" knives.
I have for trade:
Cold Steel SRK - I bought this on a whim since I've never held an SRK before and I like Carbon V and scandi grinds. It's just too much knife for me,I'm more of a Mora kind of guy. The previous owner removed some of the rubber handle to expose the tang, for hammering he said. Then he squared the spine for striking a fire steel. He also filed and hand sanded the main blade grind down into a sort of Scandi Convex grind. I gave the mirrored finish a light patina with hot vinegar to prevent rust, a darker/blue patina has formed from use. The blade is very sharp.
The plastic D-Ring has been removed from the sheath.
Cold Steel Hold Out 4" user. The original owner sanded down the clip side of the scales as no to tear up pockets and enlarged the cut out on the scales to access the thumb stud more easily. I've carried this knife for a year or so, so there will be wear but lock up is perfect with no blade play.
