  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Cold Steel Marketing

How was Cold Steel able to get the Trademark for "San Mai"?
"The term "San Mai" has been used for hundreds of years to describe a layered steel blade.

Cold Steel says in their videos that pretty much every knife they sell is a "weapon".
I suspect that most non-knife people find Cold Steel's antics in those videos frightening, not "entertaining", and make them more anti-knife than they may already be.
Since most, if not all jurisdictions have statutes against carrying a "weapon" (without the required permits/licences) I'll pass on their knives ... besides, in nearly six decades of carrying a knife, I have never once had any need, nor desire to stab some poor innocent car door or hood ... as a matter of fact, I cannot think of a single legitimate reason to stab a vehicle ...

I will admit I like their "Big Bore" blowguns, but, since they dropped the 5 foot "Professional" model, I doubt I'll buy another.
While the 4 foot "Professional" is OK, the secondary use as a hiking/walking stick, and quarter staff makes the 5 foot a better choice.
The "Professional" models have a 3mm wall, the standard versions are only 1.5mm wall. Hence the standard models are not really suitable for the secondary uses, IMHO.

Then we should really have a big problem with Knife or Death playing on a major cable network like History Channel

I think the 5 footer was considered unfair play for the birds and squirrels of the US. Either that, or the shipping dimensions. It does suck 20 yards is about the best can be done with the 4 footer.
