Cold Steel Parking Lot Sale

Anyone want to check on the large Rajah's for me? I'm trying to get a Rajah 1... discontinued I know... or a Rajah 2

Echoing what Nternal said, I'd be interested to hear from anyone who's been to the sale about just how good the deals are, or how hard-to-find the items are through normal online channels (e.g., are there lots of desirable discontinued items such as the Rajah I mentioned earlier?). It's a four-hour round trip from where I live to CS, so I'd only want to spend a large chunk of my day on this if I had the chance to score some good deals or rare/long-discontinued items. I'd also hate to make the drive only to find that I spent more money on gas than I was able to save at the sale!

Yup, I am also only a few hours away from Ventura if that.

I went to the last one, and im going to this one. Tbh the prices are higher then say amazon is you pay the listed price. They wanted like 70 or 75 for the american lawman. I got them down to 60 or 55 i cant remember

Its just a fun thing to go to with friends even if your not picking anything up.

Plus some of the biker gang vagos showed up.

Many thanks -- that's exactly the sort of info I was hoping to hear. What about discontinued items? Did you happen to get much of a sense of what was available last year in terms of those?

Great, thanks again for the info.

I've been going to the parking lot sale since they started doing it. If you go early and are fast at spotting, you can get pretty good deals. The prices? hard to say, some prices are pretty awesome, especially on swords and other blem items. If you are buying regular catalog items, it probably won't be as good as can be had online but since the prices (IIRC) includes tax and you pay no shipping (sort of, you paid for gas to get there), it's not too bad if you must have something.

you can also meet the (in)famous lynn thompson and see if your opinion of him changes after talking to him in person.

as for discontinued items, yes they have them, but not in large quantity so you should do your research before hand and go there prepared. The blue ti-lite (with titianium handles) were at the show last year as well as stag handled trailmasters from yesteryear.

I've been to three of them. Bought some stuff for me and some for others. Picked up a Light Cavalry Saber for $50. A stag handled Trailmaster for $50. Their Wakazashi for $100 and their O Katana for $150, Hand and a Half for $150, Magnum IX Tanto for $120. More things that I can't remember now.

I am going to the next side walk sale. Been to one before, and the prices are good. If you are close and like CS, be there. It is a 2hr drive for me. See you there.
