Cold Steel products YOU want to see?

to offer deep pocket style pocket clips, not the kind they offer now that have a portion of the top of your knife stick out. i'd like to see that.

Better steel. It's the only thing that is stopping me from buying cold steel knives.

Something in a frame lock or liner lock based off the American Lawman, but slimmed down, same blade length in an upgraded steel like S30V and similar and much less aggresive G10.

Hello all, and cold steel knives. ive been a fan for a few years now. ive shown off old and new as the sharpest toughest knives, hitting the positive points ive learned from your advertising style. but there is a recurring theme amongst knife enthousiests with some companies. such as sog knives. too much money for too low tech. we dont want to pay twich as much for yesterdays technology. sadly after reading this, this came to mind. "Hm wow what a shocker, every user is asking for better steels regardless of price, yet they dont listen. oh well lets keep it up for another decade and see if they get it. well as long as theyre making sales, they doht care. just keep bulk buying inexpensive steel so you can further boost profit margins at the sacrifice of your customers safety and satisfaction. who cares about them."
now, the other half. everyone wants cheap. a lot of people who can contribute to the lasting large numbers of sales as opposed to small numbers of larger numbers rolling in too.

SO DO BOTH.

users say "1055 kukri."
high end guys say "san mai three kukri"
collecters say "1055, sk 5, carbon V, and san mai three!"

that way everyone is happy, cold steel doesnt lose customers, customers dont whine about price, or quality. and also your workers will have more work and employment is good.

as far as what i would like to see other than steels, changing the kudus demon lock would be nice if they made a lockback version...

I know little about them, but there certainly is a lapse in affordable, but quality Balisongs, and Butterflies. Another Item I'd love to see offered would be the Spetznaz shovel, with a synthetic handle. I love my wood handle, but think a synthetic handle made from polypropylene, would be grand. A kydex, sheath would be greatly appreciated also. I'd most certainly purchase an older generation, styled Urban Pal, I just really like the "bare bones" look.

I have a Recon 1 with Triad lock. The handle is incredible, feels like it was custom made to fit my hand. The Triad lock is also incredible, I have a lot of confidence in it. I am less enthusiastic about the blade steel and the crappy black coating. I would gladly pay more for a blade in 154CM or its equivalent. Regarding the coating, if Cold Steel insists on coating the blades DLC would be nice. Just my 2 cents.

Couldn't agree more. That tacticool black coating cheapens the knife's looks imo. The recon 1 is a great design and so is the voyager. I would like to see the Recon 1 with a voyager clip blade. G10, liners, triad lock and a blade out of D2. AUS8 is okay imo, Spyderco used it for years and it's pretty tough but it is not the best either.

Absolutely agree. I would love to see Cold Steel get back into balisongs. They may have to be US-made, due to balisong importing issues?

They would have to be, yes.
Their Arc- Angel was US made (I beleive manufactured by a differnt company though).
I've heard that the Arc flips better than a 42.

I really want an Arc- Angel.

Money doesn't grow on trees.

I would like to see the return of the Mini-Bushman and a hiking staff designed to fit into the hollow handle of all Bushman knives with some method of attachment that would cause the combination to be an effective spear.

I would like to see, a gentleman's folder. Something similar to a Lionsteel Opera or Daghetta.

Different-colored handle options on larger sized folders. (Since they have already done it with the Mini-Tuff Lite and Micro Recon 1.) I would prefer dark blue or gray.

Wharncliffe versions of the Voyager or Recon 1 (4-inch blade size).

Newer version of Land & Sea Rescue with the 2011 Voyagers handle, along with plain and serrated blade options.

Thumb-plate opener Tanto folder. 4- or 4.5-inch blade size.

Fixed blade series of Recon 1. Use the handle from the original 4-inch folder versions and at least a 5-inch blade. (The newer Warcraft Tanto, does this with the handle too.)

154 cm would be a good compromise I think. It's a good steel and it's really not all that expensive. I would be willing to pay a few extra dollars for an American Lawman xl in 154 cm! That would be neat! It would sell like hotcakes I'm tellin ya!
