Cold Steel products YOU want to see?

I would like to see the "Secure-Ex" sheath dropped and replaced by a leather or nylon sheath.

I'm sure someone has already thought of this but I would really like a code 4 with Ti scales. Also offer both the aluminum and titanium versions with anodized handle options.

Natchez bowie offered in plain VG1 with Micarta and stainless steel guard to replace the discontinued sm3 version.

Amen to this! When I called customer service on this with my Talwar I was handed some crap about not fully sharpening the entire length of the blade so as not to weaken it. I was so flabbergasted at the stupidity of that, that instead of raising hell as I should have, I just hung up. I do need to call back when I can find the time and try to move up the ladder - to Lynn, if necessary. That is just the sorriest excuse ever for shoddy manufacturing practices.
I don't get why they hollow grind their knives like that, but the code 4 and the Mackinac Hunter are ground where the termination is not steep, and the edge goes all the way to the shaping choil.

Shame too. The SM3 Natchez Bowie, is arguably the most beautiful semi custom Production Bowie ever made

Agree. The Sk5/O1 version ain't bad. But I prefer vg1 for edge holding and the stainless fittings and black handle just look a lot more classy on this blade. Ohh and Make it full length hidden and tapered tang. That will get the whiners to shut up and take out the money for once.

I want to see a blade that is fully sharpened. That 3-4 mm long unsharpened part at the ricasso just kills me on Hold out III :( I can sharpen it, but it will look ugly.
Borrowed a pic of Ultimate hunter from the reviews section. Look at what I'm saying

I like what ApostleP did to that part of the blade on the ultimate hunter. He has a review up on YouTube which is where I saw it. Basically he notched it out and made a finger choil that flows through the handle.

I actually would argue that the O1 version is going to hold an edge much better as well as offer higher toughness, just because it's a tool steel. I could be wrong, however; I haven't seen any comparative tests.

I'd love to see a small version of the GI - Tanto, no longer than 8" Overall.... would be a tough little prybar :)

I'd like to see a Tai Pan made in the U.S. with a properly heat treated and cryo'd American stainless "supersteel", and given a checkered or textured G-10 handle. The spacer behind the guard can be left out. A functional "Japanese mon style" mosaic pin about 8 mm. in diameter would tie all the elements together nicely.

Might not be happening anytime soon... ;)
