I have quite a few CS products and have never been disappointed with any of them. I have both Rajah's and a Black Rhino. Nice big folders that can do hard duty in the woods or the city. The Spartan is next on my list. I remember reading somewhere that "grivory" is used in the automotive industry as a metal replacement. I personally like the feel of grivory more than zytel.
It is a bit much for EDC, but this summer, it may be mine for a while. At least on yard work days. I just realized what a wierd knife this is to review here, where so many posters seem to prefer small custom bushcraft fixed blades to folders, and then here comes some redneck with a folding chopper! Oh, well.
Yeah, I've also noticed that so many scoff and balk at the "rediculous" folding choppers that many Cold Steel fans adore, I wonder why in so many eyes a knife HAS to be a several hundred dollar production folder (or fixed) or an even more expensive custom knife. Me, I like my Rajah III just fine! It rides shotgun along with my XL voyagers and short of having a lightsaber, I don't feel I could be better prepared!
Wow, It's interesting to see this oldie zombified. I got my R2 in shortly after this thread ran and I have used it for............. nothing. It is still giggles n' shiz to handle now and then though.
