My knives!

I wouldn't buy anything from Chesapeake Knife and Tool. Not that I've had problems with them, I've never really dealt with them, other than handling just about everyone of the knives in the store, (the girl at the counter was a cutie by the way

) but their prices are way too high. I remember seeing spydercos in there for sale ABOVE retail. A Police model for $175.00? No thanks. I imagine there are plenty of other places that will carry Ti-lites for much less once they're widely available.

CS Ti-Lite $119.95 at Knifecenter

Blade Length: 4"
Blade Thickness: 3mm
Overall Length: 8 3/4"
Weight: 4.6 oz.
Steel: AUS 8A Stainless
Handle: Titanium

Reminiscent of a 1950's styled "James Dean" switchblade, our new Ti-Lite tactical folder, echos the lines of a memorable classic. The AUS 8A stainless steel blade features a razor edge and sturdy needle sharp point. The handle, made of forged Titanium, has been CNC milled, and we have equipped our Ti-Lite with a full length Titanium leaf spring lock (proven, in our tests, to hold 100lbs). The Ti-Lite comes equipped with a pocket clip.

I saw the Ti-Lite in the latest SMKW catalog, looks neat. Unfortunately, at $150 a copy, I'm afraid I'm going to have to wait for a "poor boy's" version to come out, maybe with some 7075 Aluminum handles?

I would never buy anything from Chesapeake Knife & Tool. In Baltimore's Inner Harbor, they are a tourist trap. Hearing from people in Northern Virginia is interesting, seems like the same deal down there.

I think the last time I walked in there out of boredom was about three years ago, and if I remember correctly, a Spyderco Endura, Zytel mind you, was about $60.00 which is insane.

Of course, you need about 4 Spydercos a Grizzly Bear sized can of 10% O.C. Pepper Spray and an armored SUV if you step outside of the Safe Zone that is the Inner Harbor.
