Cold Steel Trench Hawk

i THINK you can say Q from what i have seen in other situations around BF. Deal spotting refers to starting a thread just to state a deal perse but this is a pre existing thread where the topic isn't just about "deals"

like i said i only think this is correct:confused: maybe Esav or Ken C will stop by here to check out the hawk pron and elaborate.

I don't think so bro...KenC gave me a deal spotting infraction for posting a link to a Two Hawks auction where I had purchased a Two Hawks tomahawk...even though the post in question was a rather serious review of the hawk product I had purchased. Yeah it kinda ticked me off...but I ain't complaining...no sir...live and learn...and I'm just gonna be extra careful. 4 years without a bad mark against me and then two deal spotting infractions within one week of each other. :barf: Better safe then sorry, eh?

good call Q. i like this place and don't want to ruin a good thing breaking the rules myself.

Thanks for the info!

They were sold out by the time I got to them, but I found another place that had a few in stock.

Just placed my order.

CitizenQ, how does this hawk compare to the SOG? They are priced comparably.

I own the SOG and it is comparably priced depending on who you buy it from. I'm waiting for my Trench hawk to arrive. It has a slightly shorter haft and is thinner in cross section.

I own a SOG. The Trench should be here in a few days.

I will let you guys know how they compare.

I will say that the Trench seems to be a bit easier on the eye than the SOG, from the pics I have seen.

got one on the way to me. $39 with shipping Citizen Q and others who have gotten one. What the edges like? Can these be used for bushcraft or are they meant more as a fighter? how strong do you think the head, handle connection is? How strong does the handle seen to be?

Deal spotting. Link removed.

I got mine today, this thing is great, I have the SOG and it seems like a toy compared to the Trench Hawk. The blade is .25" thick and really sharp, the handle seems indestructible. Whatever this thing is swung at doesn't stand a chance, get one and you'll feel like a Viking conqueror! I almost feel like this Hawk needs to be swung with both hands....it's beast!

Mine just arrived.

I agree with zoo9guy. The SOG is put to shame by the Trench Hawk.

The handle does have a bit of flex to it when force is applied. I don't seem to remember the SOG flexing this much.

Overall, it is much more impressive then the pics portray. Seems well worth more than the $40 price point.

I would be interested to hear how it compares with tactical hawks in the >$100 range.

I like the slow removal of the blade cover on the pics. Provides some anticipation.

Nicely done.

This is my first post here,& the trench hawk will be my first hawk I've been lurking here for a bit.ever scene the cold steel special projects catalog showed up at my door when I saw the trench hawk dam! this one I need! but waiting for some reviews on it I've read enough
Time to buy! the video review did me in.

Not sure how I feel about the handle.....

It has a bit of flex when you attempt to bend it.

Not sure if it is a good thing, or if it just feels flimsy.

I got mine today. I love it. But don't expect it to come in with the advertised weight of 24 ounces. Mine weighs close to 28.5 ounces (without sheath). I'm a wimp, I'll be using mine with two hands.
