Cold steel two handed katana machete

I am more interested in the two handed khukri. That thing would be a force to reccon with

Looks pretty ridiculous, but effective for the price. As for its use as a machete i don't really think it's practical. Machetes are one handed for a reason. That massive handle would just get in the way if your actually trying to use it.

I am going to buy one after seeing the video and I have two SR Wakis - and if you are not having fun, whats the point? Thanks for posting.

I love the Waki, am a Busse fan but that's a silly thing to say. You can equip a whole platoon with these for the price of one Waki. And they'd get the job done.

I like it a lot. I wonder if that CS video had a factory grind - their machetes usually come dull as all get out?

We just want to get it to fun around in the back yard

Why not - forget the skeptics and enjoy yourselves. Not a bad way to let off a bit of steam - and amortised over the years you'll own it how else can you have that much fun for $23

Not dull, CS has a funny expression, they call it a utility edge. I guess I wouldn't want to get hacked by one... but it can sure use some work! :D

Do you have one already philwar? The machetes they sold me would never perform like that until I sharpened them extensively.

No, I have 4 CS machetes but not this one yet. I don't think the edge will be much different from the rest. :D

woohoo

got mine today

very much a utility edge

balance isnt bad

got a thunderboomer rocking here in Gawds country (NC) so testing is out for today

gonna take alot of kydex to wrap this thing...gonna have to noodle the design a little

I see that and think Zombie invasion, that's really it. Plus it would be a blast to run like a wild man through the wilds of the forest Son of Rambow style, attacking vines and screaming "They are here, they're here!!"

Found the blade thickness in an add,2.8mm,between 3/32 and 1/8"
I was hopeing it would be a bit thicker, like 3/16' at least, that would be good as I like my machetes or swords to be a bit blade heavy and 2.8mm just seems to be a bit on the delicate side especially for lopping off zombie heads.

OK,I looked up the ese lite machete. Pretty grips nice light easy to handle blade.
Let's say dismember zombies,I like a 1/4" blade like my wakizashi. I am rather large and the added blade weight help me chop and the added weight is no problem at all for me.

2 words:

Swamprat Waki

Oh yeah. Don't worry, I got you're back on this one Rev.

If I were to give my probably useless-to-most-other-than-myself opinion, I'd say it looks cheap, ugly, and uncomfortable. It's proportions look so ridiculous, I'd think it would be difficult to carry, and the handle is WAY too long.

For the price, it could practically be disposable, but I'd be leery of anything that required that much material to make, being sold at that low of a price.

:thumbdn: from me.
