Cold steel two handed katana machete

Oh yeah. Don't worry, I got you're back on this one Rev.

If I were to give my probably useless-to-most-other-than-myself opinion, I'd say it looks cheap, ugly, and uncomfortable. It's proportions look so ridiculous, I'd think it would be difficult to carry, and the handle is WAY too long.

For the price, it could practically be disposable, but I'd be leery of anything that required that much material to make, being sold at that low of a price.

:thumbdn: from me.

I think you're being a little hard on yourself man. Below is a valid and common sense observation. on your opinion.

Then neither one of you have to buy it , do you .......

Why come into a thread you obviously have no interest in just to bash the subject of the thread ?

Uhmm maybe you didn't read post 30 & maybe 33?

I like it a lot. I wonder if that CS video had a factory grind - their machetes usually come dull as all get out?

The purpose of my last post was to boost another member's self denigrating opinion of his "possibly" valid observations. :)

Lighten up man - no bashing being done yet.

I stand corrected and moted. My apologies. :)

Thanks for posting that Tostig - not a problem at all. Darn threads do get confusing sometimes, but we're all brothers of the blade. :)

Damn straight ! :)

I want one of these just for S&G's. :D Would be a fun way to get rid of those unwanted vine type plants... :D

I have two CS machetes. One Kukuri and one which I don't remember what they call it. It has a 15" cutting blade and two handed handle. It's the one I've used the most and for heavy brush work it is pretty adept. The Kukri works better on smaller stuff, one handed and shorter blade. The larger one is easier to sharpen than the Kukri because it doesn't have all the compound recurve edge on it.

I use the big one up to small axe type work. I don't use it to cut up meat.

Just bought the two handed "corn knife", it has a square end to it, unsharpened, if I put a shovel edge on the end it would be a great tool for clearing roots and stuff.
the working end is only 2mm thick though. I almost bought the katana but I wasn't a fan of the tanto tip and it was 45$ oppose to the 26$ I got this one for, which I assume is a price error. :D
They are asking 100 for a ka-bar cutlass machete, and used to ask 120 for it. I got mine for 50 or 60 bucks.
