Collaborative Bowie to help save elephants Pictures of the finished knife

I don't usually care for collaboration knives but this looks like it will be a major exception. It looks incredible so far!

Some more from Mike.

It's looking pretty sick. It's a beautiful thing.

I'm not so sure about that rectangle guard. Who is this Quesenberry fellow anyway? ;) :D

Can't wait to see it all finished. Nice job so far from all involved.

WOW, JUST PLAIN WOW. This has gone well above what I was expecting, and I was expecting great things. It is not even close to being done yet and I am speechless. WOW. Looking forward to more.

Words escape , but look at the precision on this thing coming together. And to think every one of these artist have blade shows just around the corner.

Thanks again for doing this everyone.

The pins are domed, what a beautiful job Mike. Next it's off to Steven Rapp for the silver sheath. Thanks Mike.

I just found out that the group we had hoped to donate the proceeds of this knife to are advocating for the ban on legal elephant ivory. My search continues for the right group.

Mark .... I'm glad you found out that the group you had intended the proceeds from the sale of that beautiful Bowie collaboration are indeed advocates for the ban on "legal" Elephant Ivory before sending them the money. That knife is a masterful piece of art by all involved. I'm certain Steven's silver sheath will be tastefully done.

Thank you John, Joe, Don, everybody, for supporting the project. The makers are doing a great job.

Steven Rapp has received this knife and is working on the Stainless Steel sheath as we speak.

Would love to see a WIP of that

Sorry guys, I spoke to Steven about chronicling the making of the sheath. As you all know he is a hell of an artist, he's a get in and get it done kind of guy. Pictures can be a real distraction and he doesn't own a camera. I feel blessed that he agreed to do the sheath and wouldn't think of imposing on him further.

Steve has built the sheath and sent components of this knife to Jane Tukarski for scrimshaw and to Jim Small for engraving.
