Combat Abrasives?? Preferred Abrasives??

I have been very pleased with the combat abrasives ceramic belts I have used. That being said I use VSM almost exclusively now. Being able to buy them in medium sized batched from Amazon is a major plus for me.

check what grits and abrasives you need and what they charge. just looked at preferred and their prices are about 50% higher than tru-grit norton of same material and grit. (2x72 zirc 120)
all of these sellers seem to have sales, so just shop and when your favorite is on sale for good price, buy a bunch. if you do buy from preferred or combat, google the belt part number, example KY739, and see who is making the belts.
if your grinder is adjustable, look for oddball sizes at reduced prices. i found some 3M 707JE ceramic 1 3/4" x 69" belts for 75% less than 2x72. norton norzon zirc 100 grit in 1 3/4" x 69" 60 belts for $40

Hey guys thought i would jump in here as a few of you guys have some great remarks to say about us and a few of you don't (understandably so). Just wanted to give a bit of background - We are a manufacturer that have been making sanding belts, buffing wheels & buffing compound since the mid 90's. We are a family run family business and we thought it would be awesome to bring direct to the consumer pricing and save you guys the middle man price.

I must admit that the month of december we got super behind because we just got a huge amount of orders due to a video that we had which went viral with @ameribrade (they make machines). We are getting the problems fixed as far as lead times. We are now stocking ALL 2 X 72's in ceramics, aluminium oxide, silicon carbides and zirconias so they can all ship same or next day. I know you guys hate waiting for your belts so this is something we are trying to correct.

If our lead times screwed you up i really apologize on behalf of myself and Combat abrasives. Please give me a call and ask for myself (my name is Garrett) and i promise you we will hook you up with a discount. We hope to be around for a long time and to truly provide a great product at an amazing price.

Feel free to DM me or give me a call guys. Thank you for reading this.

Do you guys keep 1×30 belts stocked?

Hey Tony, welcome to the forum. That’s a really old post you quoted and CombatAbrasives hasn’t been on the forum since April of 2017, so I doubt he will even see your post, let alone answer it. Probably would be best to give them a call or shoot them an email with any questions you have.

Just had an interaction with your "Brand Manager" Garrett Aryan. I purchased a bunch of belts including a 6x48 36 grit belt. The price was 17.79, and the picture showed 6 belts. EVERYTHING in the description says "BELTS" no where on the page did it say one belt. Being most of their belts (2x72) run around 3-4 buck each it makes sense that the price would be for a pack. His response was rude and dismissive and when I replied that I would not buy any more Combat Abrasive belts his only reply in the email was "LOL". That is their brand manager... wow... what would someone say whose job was not to promote their brand. And for anyone wonder, this must be the same company as Maverick Abrasives as this unprofessional child's email is combat@maverickabrasives.com. So two companies I will not only no longer buy belts from, I will actively post this info to all the knife maker forums I belong to.
