Combat dagger (custom?) Suggestions?

As much as I appreciate any military related advice, my purpose in posting this thread was simply to find a blade or to find a craftsman who can make one to my specs.

If someone could point me in the direction of a capable, trustworthy maker I would appreciate it. Preferably someone who can work with Ti. I contacted M missionknives and they said they do custom manufacturing, but they never got back to me when I inquired about prices. Beta C Ti will give me the strength I want and still give me a light-weight capable blade.

You're better off if you use adamantium-tungsten alloy.

No doubt a dagger is the best for quick killing of bad people but I have to jump on the bandwagon of those saying a more utility oriented blade will serve you MUCH better (40 years of knife use, 34 years LE, lifelong hiker, and a former 11B in the National Guard). As a disclaimer though I love the dagger patterns and the history (especially First Special Service Force/British Commando/Fairbairn Shanghai Knife history and use.)

If you STILL go for a dagger-the one I'd pick if deploying today would the the AG Russell Sandbox Dagger. I know Winkler was mentioned and I'm less than an hour from his shop (was there 2 weeks ago) and own a couple of his knives-the daggers haven't jumped out at me.

You've gotten lots of great answers here , but maybe just not what you wanted to hear . ;)
After taking advice from an earlier answer to look into a custom, I asked a question asking for info about any makers who use titanium. What I got in response was a sarcastic statement about adamantium. All I asked was for tips on a maker. I don't see how thaat warrants someone to troll me.

Real funny... I give up. Last time I use this 'knife' forum to ask for help finding anything knife-related.

No material or design is perfect. Everything has a failure point. I've seen tanto knives with broken tips. 3V steel knives with stronger tip than spear point broken with abuse. Before you were considering taking $300/400 Italian daggers to deployment and now you want a titanium alloy made with CNC? I'm almost thinking you're a troll account. You don't listen, you expect me not to be sarcastic? Btw it sounds like you're in highschool. Who's paying for the $1000 titanium alloy knife that will be lost at sea? BTW Do not fault the forum for my sarcasm you got very good advice and suggestions.

I would be. An American Marine carries between $15,000-$30,000 worth of gear. That money comes from tax paying Americans (including myself) Millions of dollars worth of gear are lost, destroyed etc. It's a fact of life that stuff gets lost or broken. I fully understand that. I am the first to admit I am a serious knife nut and a bit obsessive when I'm after something specific. Yes, for once I would like to treat myself with a real nice, showy, expensive knife I'll be proud of. The cost of the knife would be more like $400-$700 maybe even less if I knew the maker and close enough to pick it up instead of having it shipped. I've stated multiple times that I have dedicated utility knives. I only posted this thread to search for a nice, and yes, expensive dagger that checks all the features on my list. I apologized and deleted anything inflammatory that I may have said.

What would you recommend then? I see it as an investment as well, seeing the way the economy is going. I'm doing everything I can to prepare myself for boot camp. I don't see the harm in wanting to purchase a good blade.

Nothing wrong about wanting a good blade, but the best thing you can do to prepare is to maximize your fitness. Both my stepsons are Marines and after hearing about bootcamp I can 100% tell you, you wont be allowed to have a dagger and the fitter you are the more successful you will be. The harder the body, the tougher the mind.

People have pointed you in the direction of a maker on this forum who could possibly make what you want. You've also been given a lot of good advice. Take that advice or not, you have an answer. Arguing about it isn't going to get you a better answer

Good luck kid, you'll need it.
