There has been noise about this knife for 3 or 4 years.
Seems to be some real action on it now.
Is 3-4 years typical to bring a new knife to market for Buck?
Anyone here on board for the $998 price tag?
Will there be a military application for this?

I don’t know, maybe it’s a knife you have to develop a liken to kinda like some people have to develop a taste for licorice . Lol

I just don’t see what the deal is that would call for 1k bills or does this include the price of life insurance , AD&D, a funeral and at least three mourners. Lol

I bought one of the BCCI versions. Please don’t make fun of me too much..😆. I think it’s an interesting knife so I figured why not. I think it is supposed to ship this week.

I don't hang out on the BCCI site much.
BCCI version? What is it?
Where is info on it, BCCI Facebook or Webpage?

I don’t know if there is an official info location or not. I am not on Facebook so maybe more info is available there that I don’t know about. I don’t remember off hand the difference between the BCCI knife and the production knife( I think that it is going to be limited also). There was a communication several years ago when this project was in its infancy to gauge interest in purchasing one. I actually forgot about it until I got a call this year asking if I was still interested. I believe there are 100 of the BCCI run. I think there is a Buckmaster’s knife page on Facebook also. Maybe more info is there.

I figure if nothing else it can be a fancy shore anchor for the sea doo that can also cut up the fish that I caught. 🤣

If you toss away the cross guard the knife looks a little like the Buckmaster lite (model 185). It reminds me of the mistake Buck made with the Hoodlum. Where a useless cutout doomed the knife to failure. Get rid of the cross guard gadget, loose the blade slot cutout, drop the retail price to $350, and this thing might have a good chance of making it. Not to mention, it would look much better.

Knife design by Government committee. Way back when on the original Buckmaster the need to add hooks was present. Im not sure how often divers need to anchor themselves underwater. I’d think that if that was necessary, you probably wouldn’t be wanting to build your grappling hook in those conditions. I’d think a specific “right now” tool would be way more advantageous. I’m sure that this will indeed become a future collectible though 😉 As a dive blade it shows some promise but I’d like to lose the holes in the blade and maintain full strength. I’d love to play with one👍
