All I can really say is that the original Buckmaster was cool, and this is definitely not that knife.
good or bad, it just doesn't have the appeal of the original.
I'd probably never own a 184 if I could, but I can't deny the cool factor.

Back in the day the 184 took a bit of bad press for tip breakage and weight..and ergonomics. I think the old one 'looks' cool but after playing with a Japanese fairly exact copy I had no desire to cut stuff with it.

ice machines. I got one at my work shop I can use for filling coolers and one at home for drinks.

Pensacola is nice place, but is too cold right now.....I'm further south and even I'm kinda chilly at night this time a year.

At one time I had more time under water than I had on land I’m a retired instructor and I would never spend a 1000 dollar for a knife to wear on my leg or regulator hose there Is no need for the wings if you want to sit on the bottom just sit or dump the air out of your buoyancy control device that’s holds your tank that knife is about taking money from the new inexperienced diver. Sorry didn’t mean to say all that I thought I would maybe get a few interested in the beautiful ocean

I read today that BCCI members are not allowed to sell their knives until after Buck has sold all 1000 of the special editions they will be releasing at SHOT Show 2024.
