Yup. Looking forward to getting out. Actually I'm starting to make sammiches for a hike later so might have some good pics to post this evening. Going to have all the neighborhood kids over for hot chocolate and campfire later so might not get to posting tonight. I don't think I've posted pics of the scales on my 15 yet. Not sure. I think the last pics I took with the 15 still had the crazy g10 mix.

I have thought about using reflectix, or one of those car sun shades made out of similar stuff. Is it noisy when it is cold?

Jeremy

It's not bad at all (or I'm just used to it). I put a light fleece blanket over it which might be why. I'm stealing the prussic setup by the way, that's too slick not to. :D

If you end up using the shock cord too make sure you make a loop at the end of the guyline and form a slip knot with it to hold your stake. It makes it more secure and if the stake gets pulled out it won't slingshot into the woods.

I'm still thinking Warbonnet for the versatility. After looking at the Hennessy site, it would cost me about the same to get the package that would fit me the best as it would to get the WB plus top cover and tarp.

Some good information the last couple of pages, thanks guys.

Does anyone have a bandsaw they would like to sell in central / Northern Minnesota? I have been looking on craigs list but never can find anything closer then Minneapolis.

I would like to have one for making some traditional glass R/D Longbows and Recurves. I have been making bows using a table saw, but it is much harder to do the work I need, and I sold my table saw this summer when we moved.

I would be interested in buying one or even trading one of the bows that I will be making to your specs.

Thanks
Greebe

It's cold outside so I bought a PS4. It takes about an hour to set up...

It took longer than that but I got my recliner/fireplace/chromecast setup about right. Will have to go with a different fleece throw however, as it could be a tad longer. Or I might just change sock configuration. I'll let you know what I come up with.

I have yet to get a next gen console, just don't need one, my PS3 works fine. However, if the rumors come true, and Bethesda annoumces fallout 4 at E3 this might all change

Still have my PS3, and it's backwards compatible so I have a couple PS2 games for it. I also have a 360 but I haven't played it in a long time so I'll probably sell it.

And I'm anxiously awaiting Fallout 4. Wasteland 2 looks pretty good. That might hold me over.

I like my 10x12 etowah tarp -- that's the company that used to make the BCO tarps before their design was stolen, and they cost less.
I have a BCO 10x10 that doesn't cover the ends of my hammock when used as an a-frame, so I went with the longer option and like it a lot.

Unfortuantly my 3 is not backwards compatable, I don't think. But info have a ps2 that's works as good as it did the day I got it so I'm covered

And if you haven't already played it i highly reccomendation you try biosock infinite

We are doing this on another forum and i thought it was interesting so i figured it may be fun to do here as well....

Whats on your "Bucket list" and what have you completed from your Bucket list ??

Great idea for a thread.. I made my first "bucket list" when i was 18 or so, after a friend passed away, and I started knocking them out every chance i got...

Now a days my list is pretty basic, and could be considered boring, but if i accomplish these below, even just the first 3, ill be happy!!!

Bucket List
-Move out of the city... (5 months away)
-Walk my daughter down the isle on her wedding day.
-Throw my son a bachelor party when he gets engaged.
-Design and make something that is used long after im dead and gone.
-Take a trip to a new country by private boat.
-Smoke a joint with my father.

Bucket list accomplishments.
Set off a bomb.. I set off a land mine and threw a couple grenades (close enough), Drive 150mph, Drive a hummer, Shoot a machine gun, visit another country, drive a tank, have sex with a stripper, kill and eat something that weighs more than me, Have sex with a female of every major race, Be someone's boss, Meet an idol, fly a plane (i didnt land it or take off, but i got to steer one around LOL), Get married, have kids.

SO what about you guys?? Its never too early to start planning it out....

that's the one that got downgraded so much for us.
I was REALLY looking forward to having enough snow in the driveway to make a halfway decent snow shelter out of the pile.

Awesome idea WW, I have a couple
-thru hike the AT and PCT
-earn my Eagle Scout
- earn the triple crown in Boy Scouts(philmont, sea base, and boundry waters)
- have a job that I enjoy
There are probably others, but that's all I can think of at the moment

I'm glad to be getting it. The more, the better. Upwards of 8" is what we're supposed to get. I think freezing rain on Monday, to top it off.

Got my shipment from Dex couple days ago.

I will add to the previous support of his service. Tate knows how to treat his customers right, and he has another faithful customer.

Dex, I will let you know about my experience with the Silky after I use it some this spring.

Thanks for you order man. And please do let me know how you like the Silky. I have a couple that I have been using for a couple years now and love them. I also think the build quality is fantastic.

“I figure that about 80 percent of the boudin purchased in Louisiana is consumed before the purchaser has left the parking lot, and most of the rest is polished off in the car. In other words, Cajun boudin not only doesn’t get outside the state; it usually doesn’t even get home.” Calvin Trillin

Bless you Dex for making it all the way to the gathering. That stuff is proof that God loves rednecks.

Keep us posted on how yours turns out Vik.

I do believe that statement is true. Luckily for you guys I get a bunch of ready to eat hot ones and some fried Boudin balls for the road so I don't have to tap into the Beckerhead stash.

I posted these on one of the archery forums. They are some arrows I put together with feathers I cut by hand. Time consuming, but a good way to pass the time. I also make my own barred feathers as well. The shafts are GT 1535 Trad's.

Nice man. I too fletch my own and just the Gold Tip trads. Even crested a few.
That's cool you cut your own feathers. I usually get the pre cut ones.

Sadly I have not shot my Long bow in over a year cause of back and shoulder issues. Maybe this year I will pull it back out.

Sheath I made for an izula II. This setup is for a giveaway on the esee forums. I think I am going to make one like this for my 14 but probably single stitching.

Looking good man!

Got my slip sheath in for the LM Squirt:

Nothing spectacular, but photos are always nice:

Plus, my AAA sheath came in:

Nice Dubz. So thats what you were talking about.
And I like that flashlight pouch too. May try and make one similar for my LED Maglite Solitaire.

And man Hammocks are fun. It's been 9 or 10 months since I started sleeping in them every night. I have tried to go back to a bed several times, but wake up in pain and have to get in the hammock.

I have wanted to try the bottom entry ones but not sure I would like it though? My Eno's are working fine at the moment but I will eventually get something else.

Nice setup Dresnor!

yeah - our forecast was for 6-10, now it's 2-4 - then sunshine Monday followed by freezing rain Monday night through Wednesday morning.
not a fan, but we need the moisture, too.

Proud poppa moment. Oldest son just made lunch. Grilled boudin. First time using the grill by himself.

I could get used to this.
