i must be what he calls a safety sally because a few of those make me cringe
overall though, he has a lot of good videos. worth your time to study. take what you need though... think it through.
it's interesting that he doesn't seem to know about some of the "better tools" or the range of them. just goes to show that even in today's connected world, one cannot know everything.
scope out "griphoist" sometime. very interesting, linear puller, doesn't wind the cable, so the cable could be 120 or 300 feet long or 3000 if you're crazy
$$$$ though...
but bomb proof. just the thing for cliff rescues...

Finishing up a couple myself and starting on beachmaster's Trailmaster, which I'm re-handling. The tang was rusting and the guard was a little....scalloped. Now it's straighter than it was, at least.
In the background are a Camillus "Ka-Bar" (lol) and my Magua that I made a slim carry sheath for. Todd makes a really nice leather sheath, but I can't belt carry it and get in and out of a vehicle - or even move around that much - without poking my spare tire. Hopefully it'll work out carrying horizontally with a small TekLok. At least until (if) I lose some weight.
This one has been challenging with the fullers and the belly of the blade...not to mention it's been used as a prybar and has a bend to it....

Concur that he is awesome... In one show, he cut two K cars in half and duct taped the two front ends back-to-back and made a 4-wheel drive, 4-wheel steering car. The two car trunks would make a dandy shed... LOL
