After you read this next part, say your part out loud.
I eat mop.
Moose the kid stories are funny, especially when you consider those cute little girls put your big ugly mug in check.
GSO, I hope you get everything squared away.
Thanks Murph. How you holdin' up?
Moose
Uh, I'm still a badass.
I thought it was a bad nerve, but I guess now that I think about it, it did smell like your ass might have gone bad, when last I was in the shop.....
You had all the beer. Where else was I gonna stand ?You stand entirely too close, especially for a shorter fella.

We are getting plastered. Two inches of sleet with as much as 10 inches of snow on top of it. That's twice in two weeks. I can't imagine how the folks in the northeast feel.
smarty pants. I may have to steel that idea when in the market for a new gun safe.
That's pretty nifty rigging you did there, Bladite.

Bladite that is very cool 'engineering'. Growing up on a farm I always felt my dad was the king of 'make do' or 'make it work' solutions. He would come up with the most amazing ways to use the basic simple machines so that heavy or awkward tasks could become a one man job. I'd like to feel some of that rubbed off on me and I'll routinely move things around that probably should be done by several guys.
Thanks for sharing your ingenuity with us. Now, I'll be waiting to see the video of you testing the sawstop with your finger.Ok, maybe a hotdog.
(Edited to add: just kidding about the finger and hot dog. I know how much it costs to repair one of those when you 'test' it. Maybe we could get a fund going. Once there is enough in it for the test and repair you could do the vid.)
That's slick Joe. There's always a way.
thanks y'all. i liked the way it all came together... just think of it as a jig you make to get other work done...
i will probably make something later, more permanent like, with a more real "sled", as it would be useful to throw on sides for a chute, to get a lot of "stuff" into the basement fast, like wood (esp techno logs), and heavy items (steel rails) *out* (down is easy)... i has a come along or five. cool stuff. there's a model that has a 35 foot blue-steel rope. should work
first though, a long 8 inch wide board, with a small rail... for easing 4x8 sheet and other stock easily into the basement. good times.
it also occurs to me that angled ramp + a sled with a level surface would be awesome sauce too...
ever see the videos of the dude that moves 20,000 pound blocks of stone with what amounts to a few 2x4s?![]()
