Coming Soon: Charlie Mike custom!

I have one. :D

And lets not forget this limited edition street blade known as the Fresno Felon:

I'm running 1/3 HP on my grinder. I know all about arc. I'm a certified welder.

Try the angle grinder. 1/4" wheels. Worked good for me, until I burned the brushes out and couldn't find replacements!

Good luck, Charlie!

A [little] under 4" sharpened.

I’m surprised that none of the posted photos include the fortuitous cheap malt liquor that usually accompanies everything posted by CM. However, the ridiculous FTW tag did not disappoint. Am I completely missing something here? I appreciate that someone can make something halfway reasonable with the limited tools available but I’m not sure what all the jocking is about. Would expect the same level of craftsmanship from a highschool tech shop.

Congratulations on your collaboration project?

Tell Fred Perrin what you told me ;)

Making a knife is easy. Making a knife someone else wants to buy is the hard part. CM has jumped that hurdle. It's very difficult to do what he is doing with the limited tools available. It's easy to support a beginning maker with passion for his/her craft that is willing to listen to his customers.

Some finished and sold products...

You are missing the value of a personable knife experience, akin to patronizing a local small business.

Exactly! The first custom I ever ordered was from Darrel Ralph while I was still in Iraq back in 03. From then on, I realized having a custom knife made was much more than having a sharpened hunk of Ti and steel in your pocket. It is a lifelong friendship built along with the knife that yoiu will look back on every time that knife is used.

As long as all parties involved are happy then good deal all around. Concerning whether or not I was completely missing something the answer appears to be no. I wish all involved the best of luck

Thank you! I was beginning to feel like I was in the Twilight Zone or having a flashback or something. I am amazed by the amount of support shown here. Nothing wrong with that, I guess, but there are lots of makers in that price range that, let's just say have a lot more experience. No offense meant if I have just stumbled onto some "FTW" boys club or something.

I figure that's the best I can get in this crap shoot called life. :D

Life is not a crap shoot. It's what you make of it. Based on what I'm seeing you didn't come from much and neither did I. Lose the FTW, and the cheap malt liquor. If you're serious about it then be professional. Let others know that you're serious about the trade and not making a joke of it. From what I've seen here you went to college, have half a brain, and a leg to stand on. Take it to the next level....

It looks to me like he is serious about making knives. Maybe not your definition of serious, but I see him getting better with each project from out here in internet land.

What I don't understand is why the hell a few people on this post have their noses up their asses loving the smell;

CM makes knives for people who contact him wanting a knife made, and no matter how different it is from other knife makers (Who else is going to make you an all Carbon fiber knife, with a leather sheath?)
he makes it and makes it his own, before selling it to the owner, by the way; I've seen no threads go up in this forum about anyone being disappointed in a CM product. He also makes constant youtube vids
in which he updates his progress on a project, shows his progress on a project or mods that he's done, and generally just seems like a nice person who enjoys what he does.

Who get's joy out of randomly trying to say someones product isn't good, lol? Have you ever held something he's made, experienced it yourself?

If you don't get it fine then.

PISS OFF.
